Being that I am a Boatswains mate I bought this knife to keep on me at all times out on the water. The knife itself and the Marland spike are great quality and the blade is sharp. Where there is a problem is the leather sheath, the Marland spike has already punched through the bottom and every time you take the knife in or out it takes a part of the leather with it. I am trying to find a sheath maker that can make one for my knife that will stand the test of time and the North Atlantic.
