"I like it. " and then as an afterthought
The first time I read this to our kids (2.5yo), I asked them what they thought. My son replied, "I like it." and then as an afterthought, "It was kind of gross." Ha! I totally agree. I like it...and it's kinda gross. He has had some trouble with bowel movements and constipation recently and is not toilet trained, but over the past few weeks when he is trying to go in his diaper, he requests "The Poo Poo Book" to help him feel more comfortable and laugh about the experience. It has made the experience WAY better for everyone! Both he and my daughter can quote most of the book now, for better or for worse. I recommend this irreverent and very unique book as a tool for talking about poop and helping kids feel more comfortable with their bodies.

This Book is Great! Can’t Wait to Read the Next Book These Authors Write!!!
The best children’s books are the ones that are fun, entertaining and educational at the same time! This book has it all!! Doubling up as a potty-training book, you and your child will laugh as you read through the pages together. Then as your child gets older, the second part of the book enables them to learn how to be “poop detectives”. Here a child is empowered to look at their poop’s shape and color so they know whether to tell their parents if something is wrong. As informative as the “Magic School Bus” series, I hope Mark and Mae make a series of educational children’s books like these. We can all learn something along the way with our children!

Toddler loves it! Adults get a kick out of it, too!
Easy to read, and the alliteration adds to the overall humor and enjoyment of the story. Graphics are both hilarious and disturbing at the same time, but my son absolutely loved it after the first read, and now demands it as a bedtime story. Hoping it helps with poop-in-potty-only training, but for now it’s at least a hilarious short story about poop that gives my son lots of laughs and smiles. 🤷🏼♀️

Terrible
Whole pieces of food with smiling faces are coming out of butts. There is nothing fun or funny about this book.

The Poo Poo Book
I have to admit it wasn’t what I expected. I think if I had read this to my daughter when she was potty training she would have flipped! She would have thought the whole pineapple and whole potato was coming out of her and she would have never eaten again! Definitely depends on your child! The part two was educational for a little older age group. Even for mom!

Only potty training book that helped!
I ordered several books to help with potty training for my 3 year grandson, who refused to poop on the potty. None helped to ease his fear of pooping on the potty and he wasn’t really interested in reading any of them. I ordered this book out of desperation. When it came in, I decided not to read it with him because all I could think was “Yuck!” A few weeks later my grandson found the book and asked me to read it to him. I reluctantly did. It is not only his favorite book, but he now poops on his potty! He fines this book hilarious and even reads along with me. To those who think this book might be inappropriate, as I did, I realized it’s a natural and normal body function and children need to know that if they are going to overcome their fear. Glad I decided to read it to him!

Kind of odd, but my toddler seemed to enjoy it.
I don't think it really explains well for a toddler, a little bit too much information and odd story line

Helped my 4 year old son to remove fear of poop!
My 4 years old son who had fear pooping on the potty encouraged by this book. We had such a hard time to do potty training and I bought 10 different poop related books and this one was his favorite book. He wanted to check his poop quality after he succeed. We are very happy with the result and he doesn't make any mistakes since then.
