For all important uses (isolating vibrations from mic, making the setup look sweet) it's a gem.The only really hard part was getting used to the tightener. I had to change the tightness of the screw to which the shock-mount was connecting (not docking stars for that). Once the screw wasn't drooping from the weight, I found the shock-mount hinge was. I had to tighten the shock-mount at the wrong angle, then tilt it back up to add the extra tightness that would prevent the hinge from letting go. Would like a thumb screw or threading that provided better leverage.Would probably work better with mic standing up from the mount, rather than hanging down from it. Would still buy it again.

Overall, this is pretty perfect for a blue yeti, especially at this price point. My biggest issue is that the screw to secure the mic to the mount appears to be a bit too long, as it really won’t fasten to the point where the mic doesn’t rotate on the mount. I know that the blue yetis aren’t great when it comes to quality control of the threads, but as far as I’m aware, there’s no issues with the depth of the screw sockets, which is why I can only attribute this issue to the mount itself. Overall, pretty great though, especially if you don’t want to pay at least x4 the price for a strikingly similar product.

Bought this as a Christmas present, so haven't yet been able to actually use it. But from examining it closely, I can say that it is extremely well designed and built. First thing that catches attention is that it is made of aluminum - not plastic, like 99% of everything else. Everything about it says quality. Hard to believe they can sell these for the price I paid, but I'm glad I chose this one over the others which were more expensive - many of them ridiculously. Would buy again without reservation...

To be honest I have not recorded since getting the shock mount but I did take it out of the box and installed it on to the 25$ boom arm I got on amazon. The shock mount fit right on the boom arm and holds my blue yeti just fine. If I find it doesn’t help with vibrations once I record I’ll update this review but so far definitely seems worth the money.

Unfortunately, my mic died about three weeks after I ordered this mount. I ended up going with another kind of microphone for my replacement but I can say without any hesitancy that it helped because I get a little animated while streaming and would always have some kind of noise when I hit my desk. This helped reduce that noise.

Purchased for use with my blue yeti x (wow edition if that matters). The quality of materials seems to be great so far, but there's one thing I have a big problem with. The aux and power connections do not fit well, and if you plan to plug them both in you will be messing with it for a while trying to find the exact fit that doesn't make you worry, or just settle for bending one slightly.

i ended up not needing this for my set up and for most people this is probly not needed. if you want to fix issues that this item is suppose to help with you can just get software and adjust your noise gates and supression and get better results. the build construction of the item is good and the product its self is well built its a little heavy so will add some weight to the mic.

Bought this at the beginning of November and saw that it was supposed to arrive a week later.Waited and no unit. Checked back during that week and indicated it would be delivered by Nov 18th.Nov 18th rolled around still no unit. Finally came on Nov 20th.The delays aren't game breaking, just frustrating. The unit itself is sturdy and well made with options for those that like their mic situated above them or below them.

Packaged nicely, build quality feels solid and well made, looks great with the Yeti Black mic - Would be a perfect 5 star if not for the fact that the joint won't tighten enough to hold the darn thing horizontally. (As in the way it is in all the pictures.)It just droops and loosely hangs there. I had to use a bit of string to hold it up properly which looks a bit less than professional.I've tried tightening the thumb screw as much as I can but it just can't seem to hold the mic's weight up properly, which is a bit odd considering this mount was made with this specific microphone in mind.Maybe I got a defective unit? Would be happy to amend the review if that is the case.

I got this mount for my brother and he seems to find it to be ok. It must be really easy to install and use. He did the research and must think it's a good value for his money.
