SoftScience The Cruise Canvas Men's Boating Shoes - Blue, Size 8

These were recommended to me by a close friend who swears by the comfort. I tried them on and did not find them comfortable at all compared other shoes in my closet. Here’s the specifics. First, I did not feel like the fit was snug enough around the heel. The fear here is that the shoe would rub and cause irritation around the heel. Lest you think the size was too small, my toes were already close to the front of the shoe (not tight but not loose). Second, I did not find enough padding particularly around the heel. Again, the feeling was this would be a problem if used for a lot of walking. Some folks obviously like these but not me. I returned them.

I wear NB sneakers and timberland boat shoes. NB in 12 4E.. boat shoe is a 13.I couldn't get my foot in this shoe in size 13. It was too tight across the top of the foot where the laces are located.I'm so disappointed. I had contacted the manufacturer prior to ordering with my size comparisons. They replied how roomy the shoe was. No dice.Sending back.3 stars because they are good looking and appear to be well made.

I bought mens because they're always out of stock for women. Two sizes down women's size 10, mens size 8, worked.

Very comfortable for every day wear especially on boats however once the sole wears they are very slick on wet surfaces.

Comfortable and fits well.
