Fairly Good Compilation
Yaddle's Tale: The One BelowYaddle was imprisoned for over 200 years (though how this begins in 300 BBY is beyond my understanding, with Mace and Even Piell there). Her story is told by Piell to argue with the Council about her being rader for Knighthood. It's a beautiful story. What They Called MeThe poor Ewoks. Oh, humans just want to "civilize" everything. This is insanely AU.A Summer's DreamA boy named Ian falls for Padmé. But his dad is the Prime Counselor to King Veruna so he secretly pines for her. When she reciprocates her feelings, Veruna steps down and Ian learns that she is for the people, not her own personal feelings.HothThis is short and cute.Lando's Commandos: On Eagles' WingsThis is an interesting post-war short where Lando helps against pirates. Not everyone is what they seem. The Hovel on Terk StreetGreedow is down on his luck but feels it turn around when he's hired for a bounty. I like that his thoughts and words are translated between <>--though it's interesting the Jawa's aren't.A Hot Time in the Cold Town Tonite!Max Rebo and his band are on their way to Hoth to sing for a Balti smuggler named Bongo. The dude looks like Santa. a Wampa is called a guard dog and only Sy Snootles is rational about what is going on.Fortune, Fate, and the Natural History of the SarlaccThis is a very weird Infinities story.Junkheap HeroThis is very much drawn like a newspaper comic, which I like. It's odd to see the Trade Federation come up in the same story as Luke.Vader wants to infiltrate the Rebels by hacking their droids but I feel like that plot falls flat. The HiddenNice, sneaky Yoda.Thank the MakerSeeing 3PO on Bespin brings back memories for Vader. I really enjoyed the backstory!Single CellI enjoyed this side story of a minor character. Though it was odd to see a non0adorned Neimodian.Nerf HerderDomo the nerf herder may be a young boy, but he can hold his own against Imperial agents in the sarlaccJedi ChefPlo Koon is dragged into a wager between Corpo the Hutt and Micah Gilet's friend, Slabba Drewl. Micah had to cook-off against he chef Moreemohtwo. I like that the Huttese is translated at the bottom of panels. I had to laugh at the cheating at the end.Outbid but Never OutgunnedI'm horrified that th Yoda-like creature is eaten by a Globblin...and that name as well. Wow. Fett and Sinlas meet again when going after Pizzttov. Sin is very sadly left alone. I would like more of that story.Force FictionThis is a hilarious Infinities story about Yoda and Mace talking about Anakin becoming an apprentice. Yoda defending his wallet from evil price hikes made me laugh out loud--and him using midi-chlorians as a curse!Buzz Lightyear is in the restaurant with them. It's funny and yet powerful.Captain ThreepioA Rebel Freighter is swarmed and all seems lost until R2 forces 3PO to take over as pilot. The One that Got AwayThis is a short about the Twi'lek before Oola. The Secret Tales of Luke's HandFour-year-old Anakin Solo wonders about Luke's hand so Han tells him a tale.Death Star PiratesPost-ANH with some very odd art.Bad BusinessI really enjoyed seeing Villie in Watto's shop! He feels like he was tricked in taking wonky droids, even though Watto tells him the truth. And then he has to deal with rescuing a princess who tries to eat him! What a hyperspace disaster.

Not a bad way to spend a flight all in all.
It has tales, and they are from Star Wars. For the penny a page I got them on sale I'm satisfied. They're not exactly chronologically in order, (Tales 2 has a prequel C3PO to Tales 1's intro for example, but go ahead and get the first one. If you like it, get the next - lather rinse repeat until you've had enough. These are not as good as the best of modern graphic novels, not in terms of artwork or writing, but nostalgia can make up for a lot.

Great buy, highly recommended
Great addition to the collection! Way less expensive than trying to buy each individual issue.

Loose pages
This is an issue with the book itself or the condition of which it might have been stored. The binding is not set very well and the pages come loose. I read each edition I ordered (I ordered all six volumes) and in almost each on pages were coming loose after only one reading. If you want to read this in anything other than ideal conditions then don't expect it to last very long.

An excellent collection of Star Wars stories from throughout it's history
An excellent collection of Star Wars stories from throughout it's history. The stories range is enormous, with some being funny, some serious, and some very surreal. Star Wars fans will get a lot out of this book.

Fun stuff
A lot of small stories that give a little (not much) background to the movies. Entertaining.

Another irreverent dose of star wars.
Not quite as good as the first volume, this book can mostly be described as surreal! However there are some interesting stories included here, like the one where Darth Vader recalls C3-PO's assembly and the 'Pulp Fiction' tale. The Jedi 'Masterchef' story was also noteworthy. Great humour for non-poe-faced star wars fans.
