I admittedly bought this for myself: a 25-year-old with anxiety and SPD who finds some comfort in soft, cute, and squishy things. This tapir plush hits the bullseye in all three categories. It's super soft, velvety so. It's well sewn together, too. This tapir is really cute, just looking at its little face makes me giggle. And to top it off it's got just the right amount of stuffing; it's not too firm nor too floppy, just the perfect squishiness. It's not overly big but it's not too small for hugging, even for an adult. It may not look like a perfect replica of the animal but it looks just like one to a non-expert like myself. I would definitely recommend this plush, whether it's for someone who likes tapirs or even just for someone who needs a soft cuddle buddy.

I have my PhD in stuffies & this guy is the perfect size & squishiness-level to cuddle right to sleep. Velvety soft but keeps it’s form. To me, it most accurately captures what this animal looks like in the wild, comparatively, which is very important for the purposes of my collection. (I prefer realistic-looking stuffed animals as opposed to the ‘cartoony’ ones.)

This tapir toy plush by wild Republic is so soft. It is the perfect size for a kid. My son loves his.

My son has an odd affinity for tapirs so I ended up buying this for him. It was an instant hit. He wouldn’t open any other presents until he had shown his new stuffed tapir a video of its brethren. He now sleeps with it every night! Great gift!

Just darling! Tapir’s are my oldest’s favorite animal, not the most prevalent in the toy world, so this is perfect, great quality, nicely proportioned and very soft!
