Bland and unappetising
I bought a pack of six of these puddings. The good news is that they are very quick and easy to prepare: three minutes in a microwave. The bad news is that they are bland, lack flavour, lack meat and are unappetising.Like I say, I bought a pack of six puddings. Being hungry I ate three. I threw the other three away.

Pretty good for a canned product
Having left the UK - my residence for over half a century - one of the (many) things I miss is steak and kidney pudding (rather than pie). This suet pudding is very easy to cook (3 minutes in a microwave), tastes and looks good. I would have preferred the use of ox as opposed to pork kidney: the former, I believe, would taste slightly stronger (better) and more authentic.

This is NOT FOOD
I bought 3 of these at the start of lockdown thinking having a supply of somthing other than beans would be good in case the world falls of it's axis due to the dredded lurgy. Now it seems like the world probably isn't going to end I figured I should eat my way through the emergency rations... oh how I regret my choices. When it came out of the microwave, the plate was covered in a layer of foul smelling grease with some flecks of gravy in. I decided that transferring to a new plate would be a smart move. Taking the container off the rest of the pudding let the aroma of hot catfood waft through the kitchen. I hate wasting food especially meat so I figured I should stomach it but even with lots of mustard it was absolutely revolting. I regretted it with every fiber of my being for over 24 hours and it still makes me feel ill thinking about it now. I feel like I will never be clean again. As soon as I could move I donated the other two to a foodbank but that is a decision I feel incredibly guilty about despite having made a large cash donation too. As my friend put it "haven't people who are using food banks got enough problems without this?". On reflection I think the only appropriate use for these is to put into a digester to generate methane. Although looking at the non-refrigerated shelf life, it seems most bacteria and microbes are smarter than me and refuse to eat it.If the zombie apocalypse does come, and you and your family break into a bunker that is stocked with these... take my advice, eat your family.

Huge Disappointment - Bleurrrrgh! Avoid.
I've just eaten one of these puddings. I didn't buy it myself - long story.I'm so glad I didn't spend money on it. Even though it was free, I'm actually sorry I ate it - no idea on price. It was dreadful. It gets one star for being easy to heat - 3 mins in the microwave. The watery discharge on the plate I microwaved it on was the first clue - then the smell of cat food. There was very little meat in it - neither steak nor kidney. The picture gives a false impression. The bulk of the contents was what I would charitably call gravy, much of which had soaked into the pudding part. I couldn't finish it despite being hungry & I am not a fussy eater.I've had a steak & kidney pudding in Rules in London - I'd say that is the state of the art. I wouldn't expect something in a tin to come close & such a comparison would be unfair, but even so I would never eat one of these again, much less buy one. What I will do is go to my local butcher, who makes excellent pies filled with meat, and support them. There are many around the UK - I urge you to do the same.Fray Bentos may have been OK in the 70's, but best left there unless they up their game.I'm now drinking a strong coffee to wash down a home made cookie in the hope the aftertaste will subside.

Steak & Kidney Pudding
Proof of the pudding, is in the eating. These tins the puddings are in, make it easy to cook. No trying to get the pudding out the tin. To cook it in the microwave. As it all been made easy to use. Pop it the microwave. 3 TO 4 Minuets later, you've got something tasty to eat.
