I put up a 25'x12' shade sail with different hardware originally. Mistake.This set includes the mandatory cable ratchets (if you want your sail to be tight anyways). The ratchets work great!The cables are of decent quality as well. So are the eye pads and carabiners.As for the cable clamps, well I snapped off the bolts on 2 out of the 4 clamps included. When I was trying to loosen the nuts from the imbedded bolts the nuts wouldn't turn off. They were not cross threaded when I put them on and they went on smoothly and tight. Taking them off though was a struggle. I ended up snapping a bolt on 2 different clamps.I ended up going to the hardware store and bought c-clamps for cables.I got this set for the ratchets alone anyway, and they work great.

For your shade, this is a must. I wish it had 2 more carabiners, but I am rating on what I purchased.Must have for your shade cloth.

Just what I needed to put up a 10'x10' sunshade sail. I did have one break and got it replaced with no hassle. A definite gamechanger in tightening sails

The carriage bolts are not long enough to clamp on a 3 inch steel pipe. I had to purchase longer carriage bolts at the local hardware store. Also, I had to bend the metal dog ears so the holes lined up. I gave three stars because once I got them installed they seem very solid and they hold up my shade sail nicely. If longer carriage bolts were provided in the bag, I would have given 5 stars.

I have several sun shades and use these on them all. I like the adjustment because it will take up more slack than a traditional turn buckle will.

I purchased 6 sets. 5 of the inline ratchets have broke under normal tension. The cable clapms do not hold.Do yourself a favor. Buy turnbuckles, spool of wire and cable clamps. You will save time and money.

These work well over all but the cable claps are cheap and I ended up getting heavy duty cable clamps to replace them. The ratchets for the job done but are very difficult to release when there is a lot of tension on the sun shade. I wish that the “dial” for the ratchet part was a bolt head shape for a socket to be used and not an Allen key head as the metal is a bit soft and one ratchet started to strip out. This works for now but will be replaced when we rehang the sail after winter is over. In a time pinch it’s working but overall long term we don’t trust it’s durability
