I'm a fan!!
So cheap, so quiet (I forget to turn it off in a silent office when I leave), and powerful enough. The base is nice and sturdy if you dont want to use the clip. I HATE the spiral cord. I'm not gonna dock them a star or anything, because really, it's my fault for not thinking about it... but if you're like me, take it into consideration. It's not a heavy fan, and the curly cord will not allow you to stretch it out very far without dragging it back in unless you clip it to something. 😂 I remedied this by using a small extension cord and I adore my little fan for my little office. I've also used it on my exercise bike with great results. 9.8 out of 10, no regrets buying, would buy again, wish it had a 3rd speed (though I haven't needed it yet) and a straight cord.

Well Worth The Money!
I've owned this fan for a couple of years now, and for such a tiny fan, it packs a punch! The wind strength is awesome considering it's size. It's particularly great at a distance if you want a constant cool gentle breeze blowing on your body all night. I've run this fan all day and all night without any problems. I've clipped this fan on the side of my wooden folding tray and it's like the fan was meant to be there. This fan is durable, very well made, great price, and the clip-on feature is an excellent bonus. The only two drawbacks I can think of with this fan are:1) It doesn't stand on it's own.2) It doesn't oscillate.

which can be good or bad
I was looking for a fan to use at my desk at work, and didn't want to spend more than $20. A coworker had this one, so I bought it, after trying a few other options that didn't work out. I've been using this for a few months now.- The clip is strong enough that I'm not worried about it wearing out over time.- The cord is coiled, which can be good or bad. Bad if you're looking for a more permanent installation where you can tape or tuck the cord away, but good if you want to move the fan around a bit and you don't want the excess cord laying on the floor under your desk. I personally prefer the coils.- The two speed on/off switch is a little awkward. I have the fan pointing towards me, so I have to reach around the back to turn the knob, which is pretty stiff and a little hard to turn some times. (This is the only reason I knocked off one star).- The fan is quieter than most other desk fans, but not silent. It met my expectation for how loud it would be.- The fan works great if you're sitting at the desk it's attached to. It's a small fan, so don't expect to feel it across the room. Again, met my expectation for airflow.- It's very adjustable, almost omni-directional. This is great, much better than just up/down or side to side.- It does not oscillate, but then again neither do most fans this size, and personally I find oscillating fans to be a little annoying anyways.

Clip is large and clips to my headboard perfectly.
My husband and I have completely opposite internal thermostats...he’s always hot and I’m always cold. I was looking for a way to give him more cool air at night without freezing me to death in the process. This is perfect! The clip is really large and I was able to clip to the top of our headboard right over his side of the bed. The size is perfect, it blows directly on him. Not sure it would be great as your only cooling unit, we have central air and ceiling fan...but if you’re hot natured and want an extra little blast of directed cool air this is great. Not too noisy either...just a nice hummm.

Great for hot flashes!
I purchased this to use with our dish DVD player, which has been running hot all summer, but it didn't work out correctly for that.. there was no way to clip it on the side of the TV stand so that it would blow cool air on the DVD.. I purchased another fan for that and ended up using this one over the bed... It works great for hot flashes during the night.. I clipped it on a shelf above the bed upside down so it's close to my head.. The fan can be moved slightly up and down, and can also be moved to the sides... It works good for me because I can point it away from me and have air circulating, and if I have a hot flash, I can easily click it to another position so it blows right on me..I end up moving it up down, side to side all night long.. It works better than any other fan I've tried..The only complaint I have is that when I bought mine, Amazon only offered black or white.. I see they now offer it in red and blue as well.. I would have purchased the red one if I'd had the choice ;o)

Decent for the money, could be better.
Decent airflow plagued by poor maneuverability - The addition of a stand to make it a desk fan is nice, but the cable being coiled presents issues of having a 3-4ft cable and only being able to use 2ft of it.+++PROS++++The clip allows me to mount it around the shop I work in, on any of the desks so I can stay cool while working on computer systems.+The stand is nice for those times I can't clip the fan anywhere on a desk/surface+Black fans are more aesthetically pleasing to me+Holmes is a fairly reputable brand, it was an easy choice to pick this company---CONS----Coiled cable makes it difficult to stretch the fan far distances, as the fan lacks any weight to prevent the coil from pulling it back.-Three blades to push air, vs a couple more smaller ones.-Blades don't reach the edge, leaving air to leak through and lose focus.-Knob on the back is a little low profile, can be difficult to change speeds or turn off unless you turn it around.

Compact & great staying power
We bought 2 of these fans as the weather got warmer to use in our sons' bunk beds. It gets hot in their room, and we thought these fans would be a nice way for them to 'personalize' their own sleeping space. The fans are small and compact but have a very large clip that can stay attached to a 2x4 board and one is even hanging upside down from the bed above. They have 3 speed settings and the direction the fan faces is easy to adjust. We dropped one of ours from about 5.5 feet in the air; the mesh guard popped off but it was easy to reattach and it continues to work perfectly. These fans are easy to move around, so they will probably come on vacation with us as well.
