Octopus Socktopus

My kid loves this book and says “knock knocktopus” whenever she knocks on a door. Just wish the flaps were thicker/sturdier.

I read weekly to 7 classes of preschoolers - they loved this book!! They totally got it and had fun anticipating what the next page would be! Definitely a hit with the 3-to-4-year-old crowd!!

I highly recommend this book, i bought it for my son when he was 4 months and he loves it so much,, since i read it first time he loved it, he even select it from all the books to make me read and he sits listening to me reading it each time.. if i ask him where is octopus he smiles to me and start looking at the book and now he is 10 months i cannot put him to sleep before i read this book to him

My daughter was given this as a gift for her first birthday and loved it right away. Six months on and she is still fascinated by it and we read it a couple of times a day. It has flaps to lift, bows to twirl and wheels to turn and some great pop-ups. Highly recommended.

My 2 year old is a total bookworm, she loves looking at books and being read to. Whilst discussing this with a friend recently, she suggested that she might enjoy Nick Sharratt books as all three of her children enjoy his stories. I ordered this (and others as a result.)We were not disappointed. Octopus -socktopus is silly and totally captures the imagination of children and adults alike.The illustrations are brightly coloured and engaging, the pop-up element just adds to the silliness and excitement of this simple but clever book. My daughter loves "chickenpoktopus" the best. Having recently had chicken pox this really appealed to her. There really is an octopus for everyone! Punk-rocktopus & party-frocktopus are particular favourites of the adults in our household.Nick Sharratt has an incredible ability to tap into children's creative minds in a way that few authors can. His stories and illustrations are laugh out loud funny, enjoyable read for all the family...

Great book. 2 year old Daughter loves it. But was hoping for the flap and pull tabs like on the youtube videos. I should of looked at the description better tbh but little disappointed its not the flap and pull version - as there is much more for children to interact with. Fun book for toddlers.

Our 2 and a half yr old and 18 month old twins all love this book. It's become a firm favourite in our house. One of our twins is quite delayed socially and with speech and wasn't fussed about books before we got this one. I don't know why she loves it so much but it's really helped her!

Book itself is lovely. Unfortunately I ordered a copy described as ‘fair’ - personally I would described it as poor, at least 7 of the nice pop up bits were ripped off and missing. It only cost £1.50 so not worth the trip to the post office to return it, but if I’d seen it in a charity shop in that condition I wouldn’t have bought it.

Whilst this is a bright, appealing book, enjoyed by my 2-year old grandson, the product description is inaccurate. There are no pop-up features or tabs to pull, a feature of other Nick Sharratt books, only flaps to lift. One of the reasons for buying this was because the varied interactive features of Jellyphant Wellyphant had been much enjoyed by my other grandson.
