Forever Summer

This book has been a wonderful addition to my cook book collection. I am embarassed to admit how many cook books I own, but I reach for anything from Nigella often! Once you make a couple of her dishes and desserts-they you'll know why! Her recipes are simple, extremely healthy, and with few ingredients! We have lost weight with this new cook book, without even trying!

I think this is one of Nigella's more overlooked volumes. It is full of fresh tasting easily followed recipes, that are workable across all four seasons, not just Summer. The Watermelon, Mint, Feta Salad is amazing and the peach ice-cream is something that will imprint of the eater's memory forever.As always, Nigella's voice shines through in the recipe introductions.

Excellent recipes as always in Nigella's cookbooks and ingredient amounts were in American script so not necessary to translate from metric

Love Nigella, and this is one of the best books in my opinion she's ever written. I can't wait to make every single recipe in the book, and that's saying a lot. Most times, you mark a few recipes that you know you'll want to make, and I want to make them all! She always writes her recipes exactly as they are to be made, and allows you to tinker with it as you please. I can't say enough about her work, and this is one of the best pieces she's done.

Unlike my Patisserie book which arrived perfectly, this one had brown folded pages due to shelf misplacement and this is unacceptable in my cooking books. Since I bought it in a black friday promo, I am convincing myself it is the reason for this semi-bad condition volume. Well, the content of it is not good but also fot the price I've payed it is more than reasonable! Bad choice but it is my fault. Regarding the package it was perfectly wrapped, the other book arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Amazon for giving us those books for a great promotional price. Happy new year to you all!

Saw this in a relatives house and wanted a copy for ourselves. A nice book, certainly of its time, but one I want to use a lot.

Sono ricette facili ed intriganti, dal gusto complesso e mai banale, raccontate nel suo poetico e confidenziale inglese ( dal quale, tra l'altro, si apprendono sempre nuove sfumature linguistiche inusitate ). l'importante è avere una dispensa ben fornita e, all'occorrenza saper sostituire quello che manca con ciò che è disponibile; ho provato alcune ricette e ho avuto un successone. ( deliziose le frittelle di zucchini o il pollo allo zahatar con il fattoush.....il fool di rabarbaro è sublime, solo un tantino dolce, ma si rimedia facilmente. etc...) Se vi piace sperimentare e non faticare troppo è il libro perfetto per la convivialità estiva e non solo.....Thanks Nigella!

Yet another treasure! has amazing recipes! My fav are watermelon feta salad and keralan fish curry! Wish it contained photographs for all the recipes featured.
