Well built, seems to be able to do the job it was designed for.
Caveat: I bought this case to protect the camera in inclement weather; I have not, nor do I intend to, submerge it.This case appear to be well built, and capable of the job it was designed to do. (If you plan to use the camera underwater I would suggest that you may want to fill the case with some weights wrapped in cloth, to prevent damage to the inside of the case, apply a smear of silicon grease (that's a smear, not a handful) to the 'O' ring seal and submerge it in a pool for several hours to check for leaks - it beats having the camera flooded). My only concern is the latch. It seems to exert a fair amount of pressure when the case is closed and I have my doubts about it's long-term viability; I would suggest that, when not in use the case should be left OPEN to release the pressure on the latch.

Not perfect but pretty good
I don't have the Muvi camera, but rather a METAL MD-80 clone, which is an identical knock off of the Muvi. The camera fits perfectly. The case will NOT accept a plastic MD-80 clone - those are ever-so-slightly larger. In other words, if your camera looks like THIS, DON'T get the case: Mini DV - World's Smallest Video Camera in the World with High Resolution Image (You might be able to grind down the ribs inside the case with a Dremel, but that's a dicey proposition, and besides, this case costs more than the plastic camera does)I haven't had any of the problems others have experienced with the problem latch. They must have fixed that.It honestly hasn't rained yet on my bike rides, so I cannot vouch for how waterproof it is, but it is a very snug closure with the latch. Seems hard to believe that rain would penetrate. If you go underwater, I'd use a small amount of silicone grease on the gasket as others have suggested. You cannot access the on-off switch, but you CAN activate the start-stop recording button with the button on the top. Since you're only limited to a 2-minute window to activate the recording after turning the camera on (before it switches off) you might have to open the case just before you start recording. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of five is for several reasons -1. You lose any sound capabilities in recording. I realize that keeping it waterproof and transmitting sound are probably mutually exclusive goals, but it would be nice if there was a way to open up something near the microphone if submersion in water wasn't an issue.2. Mounted on my bicycle (with a camera mount, bought this nice one: ARKON CMP227 Motorcycle and Bicycle Handle Bar Mount for Cameras with 1/4 20 Screw Thread ), it does record sound from the camera rattling around in the case, and I'm guessing that if it was cushioned better, it might be able to record SOME sound through the plastic. The rattling is kind of unnerving. EDIT: I put in additional cushioning using some sponge rubber I had. (There's a single cushion of black sponge rubber covering part of the door). That helped, but raises the question why they don't simply put more padding in themselves).3. Picture quality seems a *teeny bit* less clear than if the camera had no case at all.

Used for whitewater rafting, and it worked great.
I bought this for a whitewater rafting trip, and it exceeded my expectations. Not only did the camera stay dry, the footage came out great, and it even got sound through the plastic case (which I didn't expect). Granted, it mostly picks up my own talking, but it captured the sound of the water nicely. I swam through some rapids, and was underwater for about 10 seconds without any damage at all to the camera. Here is a bit of video from the trip: [...]

NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING

Poor Latch
The latch can be broken easily. That said, if you are farmiliar with this type of tension latch, it will close the case tight enough to keep out water to a shadow depth. Just make sure you understand the mechanics of the latch before operating it.

Waterproof case is better and sturdier than earlier models
The case is my second order. The first one that I used more than a year broke its lock. I love the camera, although I could not change the date unless I had to connect it to my laptop as the software that came with the unit was downloaded there as one of my apps. It would have rated 5 stars if the waterproof case did not make the tiny camera a little bit bigger. I used the Muvi pro micro with the waterproof case using the arm band. I would get questions as to what is that contraption strapped on my arm and my excuse is that it was to monitor my blood pressure. The only problem is that it needs to be placed in the proper arm position so I could secretly record. snap underwater. Have used it while swimming or putting it in a fishing rod to take pictures underwater. This batch seems to be better and sturdier than my previous waterproof case.

Great Camera - would buy it again
Excellent resolution. Perfect size. Easy to use. I also bought the accessories (waterproof case, headband) and I wish I could find a mount of some sort to put it on my dashboard! I recommend this.

Totally useless product
I purchased this kit in hopes of mounting my VEHO to my helmet or bike. It just doesn't work compared to other mounting systems for other cameras when it comes to sports. The kit is great if you want to wall mount the camera but the arm band is useless and so is the head band because there is to directional control over the camera. For example, if you put the camera on the headband and then place the head band on your head, the camera points up. There's no way to point the camera down. Also, the headband is not stable by design and this goes for the arm band as well. Although my VEHO gets the job done for basic filming, I'm afraid I will have to upgrade to a substantial camera system like the Hero or Contour because of the proven and wide variety of camera mounts. This is another example of I get what I pay for. I should have just spent a little more and got a camera made for sports and action video.

It is weaterproof and the camera screw is standard
The media could not be loaded. Here the waterproof housing is mounted on a standard camera tripod, which means that the thread is standard. I use this tripod with my Canon cameras. Veho say it is waterproof to 20m. If you get into surf for instance where water crashes down the pressure is higher than you think - it is the dynamic pressure. So here I test the dynamic pressure by spraying a hose onto it. With my finger over the end I would think the pressure is higher than in surf conditions otherwise the surfer would be crushed! The result of the test is that the camera remains dry and there is no sign of water inside the case. There is some misting of the case on the inside but this could be reduced by loading the camera into the case outside. I loaded it in the house where the warm air has more moisture in it.People have reported the clasp breaking. I can see how it might happen but I think it's ok. I squeeze the case shut with my fingers while closing the clasp because the closing is the highest stress condition - give it a bit of help here.

Most of it seems indestructible, but...
I'm guesing the clear part is polycarbonate, and this has held for something like ten years (still in good condition). The black plastic parts (latch and glass "holder") cracked in the begining, so back then i made some aluminium substitutes, and those are virtually eternal. It was pretty watertight, but to be honest I never used it underwater, just attached to various offroad vehicles under rain and frequent water/mud splashes.

Don't buy this!
This product claims that the waterproof casing will fit the Muvi camera. It does not. The exterior switch on the outside of the waterproof casing does not coincide with the record switch on the camera. In addition, the helmet strap certainly was too small to fit my skiing helmet. So overall a complete waste of money

Just add water.......
Initial thoughts were that the case seems compact and robust. A nice looking clear polycarbonate sort of casing with what appears to be an optical glass front port. Not too heavy either.A silicon type rubber material forms the seal when the door is closed. The locking mechanisn has had some negative comments - but from what I can see it seems to do the job well. I have no reason to think it will break.Another comment I have read about this item refers to ensuring it is switched on before it goes into the case. OK, there is no way of sliding the on/off switch when it is in the case, so it does need to be turned on. But remember this unit will sit on standby for what, 250 hours? Turn it on, the blue light comes on - put it in the case, close the back and let the blue light go out. By pressing the button on top the blue light will show again, press it again and it goes into record and the green light comes on. Press it again and it stops recording, blue light comes on and then will revert back to standby. Turning it on before you put it in the case is not a problem - remember, it has a very long standby time when turned on and can be recording again from stanby without opening the case up.It states on the packaging it is waterproof to 20 metres.Bought this case for £14 or thereabouts - a good very buy for the Muvi.A little off subject now I know, but a little info on the MD-80, a very similar bit of kit to the Muvi camera...For those picking up the very similarly sized MD-80 video camera, this case is too small. The size differences in the Muvi and the MD-80, however small, makes this unsuitable for the MD-80, although with some alteration it MIGHT take it).
