Cuts like a dream

Super efficient and fast, to making fresh french Fries or making pico de gallo and everything you want to cut is fantastic and my employees love it.

I do a LOT of juicing. I have an Omega 8004 Juicer, it is an auger masticating style. One morning while watching the little auger turn and crush my carrots, which I just slice in normal round slices, I took note how the auger catches something to juice it. In that moment, a light went on in my head and I realized that if you julienne the carrots and beets that you could drop them in the juicer chute and the auger will pull them in without having to use the tamper. So I tried it, just slicing them up with my knife. Worked great, but a lot of work, and carrots kept shooting off on the floor as I misplaced a cleaver strike - LOL. So my second epiphany was thinking "Ah, french fry cutter". I looked at all of them currently on Amazon and thought the normal ones look ergonomically uncomfortable looking if you were going to be using it a lot. Then I saw this one. Eureka! It arrived quickly, well packed, and it is sturdy and the suction cups actually work! It doesn't seem to labor with my carrots or my beets (which I peeled first). Looking forward to many cutting and slicing adventures with my new kitchen appliance. Now, the cons:. Only one of the rudder pins actually screws all the way in. The other two would only screw in half way. It works fine and I may have to end up using liquid metal weld on them if they give me a problem. Just a minor annoyance at this point as the rudder works fine. The other issue is a little more aggravating. I have yet to find a vessel of some kind for the finished product to fall into. I don't want them falling on the counter....then I just have to pick them up again. A wide mouth mason jar works just okay and catches about 90%. All in all, very happy with it. My only thought is that this is probably not made in the U.S. and what happens if I need a new die?

Goo

I absolutely love this machine. It is tall 32" so it's a little hard to store and won't fit on the counter anywhere or in any of my cabinets so I lay it sideways on a shelf in my pantry and works for me and I have good access to it. I have my blades in a plastic container with it. I have carpal tunnel so this saves my hands and I am 5' and can use it by myself. My husband's favorite blade is the smallest. It makes fries like McDonald's. I am struggling with cleaning it BUT it is easy to take apart. The blade has 4 screws you only need to remove the screws that have the standard blade. The push block only has two and you remove those. I did an onion in the small blade and I'm having a hard time getting it clean.

Easy and cuts great

The blades slice just fine, but there are black plastic shards/shavings that come off into the food, because of poor design.
