Muvi X-Lapse
For the most part this is a good little toy. It works well with my gopro and the extendable supports are nice. It feels cheap and plastic y, but what do you expect. I put this on the dash of my car with the gopro heading back from a trip to Kansas City, and at 70mph on rough roads and ups, downs and constant turns it never moved once from where I put it. I also attached it to a accessory rack on the inside roof of my car, hung it upside down and ran the gopro. I was pretty impressed it still worked and was accurate even hanging from the roof. It is a glorified egg timer but it works and that is what is important. I gave it 4 stars for the same reasons some others have. The ticking is down right annoying and the bell has to go. The phone attachment that comes with it is nice to have also. And the metal male and female threads are a good plus. Just get rid of the BELL! Also a lock for travel when not in use would be nice.

Not bad. Few notes before using.
Tried my first steady time lapse with this last night with iPhone 6, works great. Even better on a tripod. I do feel I need to be extremely careful with this, one drop could destroy this - the casing, the timer, the holder, etc. Not hard plastic and it feels like it could break easily. Also be very careful with the plastic clips that holds the phone. Do not move/adjust the phone side to side while the clip is holding the phone. The phone clip holder did scratch my iPhone 6 screen ZAGG Protector. Nothing major, but I am very glad I did have a screen protector - also thin iPhone case. (I would highly recommend a screen protector and case before using)Also rigging very small tiny pieces of black electrical tape over the clips, even 2 or 4 tiny pieces of a thin rubber band can add a sort of "cushion" to avoid any possible scratching to your phone.

nice - should have read the description
For some reason when I bought this, I was thinking I could use it for smoother stitched panos, but it's really more for panning videos or time-lapses. Personally, I'm not sure I'd want to park my phone on a gadget for 15-60mins, unless I'm out of tower range. Would be great for something like an iPod touch or really any other camera. So it's great that the slotted phone holder on the top is removable to reveal a regular camera mount.I would definitely like to see a version of this that could do a full 360 in way less time...like 60-120 seconds.UPDATE: Now that I've had this for a few weeks, I've found I've used it more often than I thought I would with my phone parked for 15-30 minutes at a time. Would really like to see an electronic version of this with variable speeds (fast for stitched panos, and slow for time lapse) and able to pan both directions.

The output from my work has been pretty nice. Fwiw
When you spend this little on a tool its prudent to have low expectations. To my surprise, the overall construction is solid. I have used it with a gopro only and in that application it is a fully functional tool to achieve a pan. Drawbacks are that every timelaps turns a single direction. Pros include the size and the fact that a male 1/4-20 is on the top and a female of the same on the bottom. The output from my work has been pretty nice. Fwiw, I dont get why the ringer is still active on it - i get that it's guts are an egg timer but killing the buzzer would have made sense for film. It cheapens the product in its appeal. Overall, i got more for my money than i expected.

A good product as long as you keep it totally level
It works pretty well. The speed of rotation is a bit fast for my taste. I would have preferred them to either set it to be slower or have at least a partially adjustable speed. It holds the phone just fine but it isn't always directly perpendicular. The included "feet" is a nice touch but honestly you'll never use them. This works much better paired with either a tripod or something like a joby gorilla pod. Make sure it's absolutely level, though, because the movie will otherwise look really bad. Thus it is not super great for composition. It would be better if you could angle it and have it compensate for that angle across the rotation.

Nice little timelapse accessory for my phone
The media could not be loaded. Amazing piece of thing.Only disappointment is the small holder that holds mobile phone is not that strong. The phone(even with a cover) slips out if it is tilted to the right or left. And it only rotates in 1 direction(anti-clockwise).Otherwise it works perfectly. Keeps ticking. 360 degrees in 1 hour. There are markers for 15, 30, 56, 00 minutes. There is an alarm that kicks off at 00 marker which is kinda annoying at times.Don't see a link to upload a video so adding a youtube link as review to how it looks in action :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vREWoSts8ro(Video might be a bit shaky due to wind. The device rotates just fine.)

Fine for the low price
I bought this after reading the instructions for making a DIY version with a kitchen timer. I'm pretty sure this is built around the same integral mechanism as a kitchen timer, right down to the ringing bell. It works as advertised with both a GoPro and an iPhone. It only turns in one direction, and at one speed, so it limits you a bit. I wanted to shoot a time lapse of late afternoon shadows moving across a building, and the speed of the turn needed to be a lot slower. I'm sure I'll use it again from time to time, but it definitely won't work for every situation, for example a shot that calls for a left to right pan. It doesn't seem especially well built, so I'll be handling it carefully, but for $20 I don't expect it to stand up to heavy use.

It does what it is intended for but it is very flimsy. Can not support even an entry level DSLR with a standard lens mounted on it.

It's just a malfunctioning egg timer..!!
Firstly, this cannot work with a DSLR. Secondly, the mechanism is too unreliable. Probably a defective piece returned by another customer, passed on to me.Really dissappointed, and would not reccomend this product to anyone.
