Very High Quality Product
Let me start by saying that I'm 65 yrs old, physically fit with above average mechanical skills. Install was done by myself in about 3 hours total over 2 days. Install was straightforward and done with simple hand tools. I can recommend this product without hesitation. It's a extremely well thought out product and is very high quality. Definitely worth every penny. Turned it on after install, it went through it's initial startup and it functioned perfectly.

All of the comforts of home!
I installed this myself on my 2015 Cedar Creek 5th Wheel that was pre-wired for this dish. Wiring and installation was a breeze once I got the courage up to put holes in the roof my my brand new 5th wheel. It works great! I get excellent reception that may even surpass what I get with my home dish. This is the way to go if you already have Directv at home and want to add it to your RV. Besides the cost of the hardware, all you pay for per month is the additional receiver fees. It is much cheaper than paying the monthly fees for Dish with a CarryOut dish, and I get all of the same programming I have at home.

Works with Genie, very easy install
Very easy install, as I was replacing an existing older satellite. Hardest part was getting the control wire through the ceiling and up to the box location. Don't be afraid to install this yourself... very few tools needed. Also, you will need a hand getting it on the roof. After installation, just plug it all in and hook up the directv box and you are watching tv.... I had converted my house over to the genie, which I take with me in the motorhome and this works great with it. My biggest question was "will it work with the genie", and the answer is obviously yes, just hook it up and let it go through it's process.

DirecTV in High Definition awaits.
I used to use a home DirecTV slimline antenna and if the ground wasn't perfectly level I would be hanging off the roof with a wrench trying to line up all three satellites. It was a huge pain. Not to mention trying to find a place for that giant football shaped antenna when you're driving down the road. I finally had enough and had been waiting for the right time to buy the Trav'ler. Lucky for me Prime days had a great deal along with free shipping made it irresistible. As everyone has said. It's freakin' heavy. Please get help lifting to roof, I did it by myself and let me tell you it's not a good idea. Get at least 2 tubes of sealant. Don't be shy about putting it on. I tried to keep it neat and had to go back up and add more after a good rainstorm showed me the error of my ways. I added another tube smoothed it into all the crevices and after it was cured I rolled on some RV white roof coating.Just push one button and it's automatic from there. Takes about 5 minutes to raise and find the satellites and about 3 minutes to fold and stow. It will even compensate for parking on an incline. I haven't tried to use it on a steep hill yet but it seems to have no problems with normal non-level streets and parking lots. The control box comes with tons of cable. I had to zip tie bunches of it to hide it.It also comes with probably way too much coaxial cable as well but at least that's easier to cut and put new ends on.If it was half the price it would be perfect, but if you want DirecTV in High Def this is pretty much the only way to go.

As food as there is for the money.
I wish I could give this 5 starts, as it is supposed to be the best there is without spending many thousands of dollars. True be told, it does work well but it is not perfect. When first turned on, it takes a significant amount of time to acquire a satellite, and it appears that it doesn't take many tree leaves to impede it's acquisition, and, unfortunately to interfere with reception. This being said, if it is to be securely mounted and has good wiring, and all things are optimal, it does work well. With this dish, it is configured electronically to only receive Directv. If you want to get Dish or other purveyor, you need a similar but different model to accommodate that service. My understanding is that once you choose, you are stuck with your choice unless you want to put out a couple thousand $ to change. So you need to make up you mind what service you are willing to go with long term before you buy.I would recommend it primarily because in my experience and in talking with many RVers over the last few years, I believe there really isn't a better choice. My experience is satisfactory, but less than perfect.

It was delivered quickly and installed easily. I was able to feed the wires through ...
The old Motosat HD stopped locking onto the satellites. Since Motosat is out of business and thinking that spending $900 on a new (3rd party) controller was a risk, I decided to go with the Winegard. It was delivered quickly and installed easily. I was able to feed the wires through the same holes as the Motosat. A pro was not needed to make the change. From my experience: The unit is delivered in the "parked" position. I manually raised it a bit to make space for getting the fasteners screwed in and caulk smoothed. Unfortunately, raising it manually caused the brain to lose its "parked" reference point, such that it did not function when initially started. The technical support people walked me through the process of correcting that (it is not in the manual) and all has been well since then. I recommend working around the complicated area at first. With the unit locked on to satellites, the final fasteners can be installed and caulking smoothed easily.

Big, heavy, pricey... BUT IT WORKS GREAT!
I bought this auto aiming dish for tailgating. Aside from being quite large and very heavy (both things I was aware of before deciding to buy it) it is perfect. No more hand held signal strength meters and compasses and wasted time spent trying to manually aim an DirecTV HD dish on a tripod. I literally throw this thing up on my car roof (I mounted it to a 2' x 4' plywood base), connect the coax and control cables and turn on the controller and a few minutes later I'm watching College Game Day. This dish works as good as advertised, even in very rainy conditions.
