Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun - Accurate Handheld Radar for Sports, Racing, and Traffic Monitoring

This speed gun works great! We use it for train watching, just to see how fast the trains are running and its super easy to use. Works great. Works through glass too. Nice quality, great value! I recommend it.

Quality product, very accurate

Understand what this gun is before you purchase it. If you're looking for a radar that you can sit 30 rows up at a showcase and clock accurate numbers with, this is NOT your gun. This is not a gun for a pro scout, or someone who requires chronograph level accuracy. That being said, for 90 dollars, it gets the job done. As an owner of both this and a Pocket Radar Ball Coach, I can confirm that this gun is +/- 3mph with the Pocket Radar, under the condition that it is aimed precisely. The range is short, but if you can stand directly behind a pitcher, angling slightly downhill on the ball's plane, you will get an accurate reading much of the time. When you miss, you'll know as the reading will be well off. Hitting wise is where you will encounter the most issues. If you're trying to measure ball exit speed of a tee, you need to get on a knee, and aim the gun slightly up, so that the gun will be in line with where the ball will be hit. The battery lasts a long time, and there is no interface to learn, just point and pull the trigger. The gun is sturdy, and doesn't feel like you'll break it if you hold it wrong. All in all it's an excellent starting gun, and if you're buying this for your travel team, personal use, or just for fun, it will get the job done.

Works best for larger items with no moving parts (cars, baseballs). Didn't work so well trying to read running speeds as it wouldn't read the person's overall position, but would catch the flailing appendages. Found that it reads best when in front of what your trying to read. Either off to side at 20-30° or behind a net. I imagine the type of net or the distance you are behind it would affect the accuracy. Works well, had fun with it reading whatever we could throw at it.

So far, it seems inaccurate.Delivery drivers drive fast thru here and are so juvenile, "Do you have a radar gun?"To which i can answer "RIGHT HERE BUB!" But does no good if it says they're driving 48 and driving 20-25.Probably needs calibration. Great! So spend $100+ to spend equally or greater amount to calibrate the damned thing too?Well, will wait til Monday for bushnell to get to work, figure it out, then return it to Amazon, buy another and hope THAT ONE is calibrated! Or works.In the meantime, THANKS FOR NOTHING!
