Great calculator that does'nt require batteries
Great calculator that does'nt need batteries. Just needs light source to operate. Can use anywhere. Best calculator for the price.

Great Features, Great Price
This is my 3rd purchase of this calculator.I carry one in my shirt pocket when out of the house and also keep one beside the chair in the den. This one will replace a higher-end Casio we keep in the kitchen, but which has many features we don't need and, oddly, doesn't use the same basic key layout and operation sequencing as this one. Too troublesome to switch back and forth.Have owned many hand held calculators since the early 1980's (when they were brutally expensive). For me, this model has the right mix of price, features, and intuitive operation. Easy for everyday plain use, straightforward memory features, and all the advanced functions most folks would want, including easy exponents/roots, statistics, and trig. Too bad cars didn't have a similar price/performance/cost curve as calculators and computers.

Good calculator for my MA22300 class
I ordered this calculator because I needed a single lined calculator for my MA22300 calculus class like wtf? Why a single lined calculator? -_-Anyways so here are my pros and cons:Pros:It's one lined perfect for my calculus classCheaper than the ones around my campus that suckIt's solar so I don't have to worry about changing the batteriesKeys are very responsive and nice to the touchIt's a very durable calculatorIt's also very lightweightIt has everything I need for my MA223 classI find the calculator to be pretty stylishCons:It's only 10 digits... that's about it?Overall I find it a very stylish calculator. I like how cheap it was and how many functions it has. I think I might be using this calculator until planet Earth enters the next generation of technology.

Very Happy: Lightweight, Simple and Powerful (enough)
This is a great product. It does what it suppose to do and it does it right. If you're a student, I recommend this calculator for its functionality, durability, plus you don't need to worry about changing batteries. And more importantly, it is powerful enough such that you always know what you're doing. Some calculators are packed with too much functions such that students will not do the math themselves. If you're a professional, this calculator is lightweight, portable and simple to use. Doesn't require much learning time (if you did want you supposed to do in school). It is certainly no Matlab or Mathematica, if you're expecting heavy calculation or graduate level maths out of box, this is not for you, and, frankly speaking, I will point you to a real computer not a calculator for those jobs.

The features add up
I have avoided math and calculators all my life until I started volunteering as a tutor. The instructions on functions aren't really helpful, but it's versatile and I love the solar-power (which works fine under lamp-light too.) It's inexpensive, light-weight, and slides into its cover when not in use so I can carry it in my purse. I find it very helpful for fractions, decimals, percent (grade-school and high school math). It also has functions for geometry, algebraic and trigonometry calculations. It's a nice, basic calculator for basic math.

Simple and Elegant
I don't like using a graphing calculator, so this fit the bill perfectly, when I needed a second one.I only have two minor dislikes, but I couldn't mark it down from 5 stars, because I am just being prissy. I am used to an old TI that was made from a metal case. This one is made entirely from plastic and feels kinda....flimsy?...compared. Even compared to other all plastic calculators. And I miss the ability to do a simple z test.Other than that....this a simple to use calculator. I like how easy it is to switch between modes. And I like being able to tell the calculator how many significant figures to use when in SCI mode. The solar cells pick up light fast and under some very dim conditions. If you need a simple scientific calculator, look no further.

Annoying at times...
I don't have much experience with scientific calculators, but I will be expanding my knowledge and purchasing a second one soon. I hate that this one is fully solar powered. I can be sitting under a lamp in my well lit living room on the couch doing homework and if I tilt it just slightly the wrong way, it fades considerably and won't work properly. It's so annoying!! Also, both my college calculus and algebra teachers have told me that my calculator functions are weird when it using it for logarithms. The instructions included are not helpful. That said, it's great for everyday eye searing fluorescent classroom work. Beware of seemingly well lit library study corners.
