BOSCH BSD1414 Severe Duty Disc Brake Pad Set - Compatible With Select Ford Expedition, F-150; Lincoln Navigator; FRONT

Seem fine so far, well see how they last and effect the new rotors installed with them. I tow up to 10k sometimes so i went with the HD pads.

I like the bosch brand. Like metalic pads as the keep the rotor clean in the rust belt area. These seem a bit soft compared to most others I have used. The split in the middle of the pad was already full of debris from the manufacturing process. They are still braking in and dont have a complete pattern across the entire rotor yet after about 150 miles. its the same pattern on the right side and the left side rotor. This isnt typical and I dont know why. New rotor and calipers were installed. From experience, I would have to say they may not be manufactured 100% flat. I did brake them in. They are mostly quiet. Nice backing plate. I wlll update in a few months. Update 2/7/2025 These apear to be broken in after 250 mile as the patern is completely across the roror now. As mentioned for a severe duty pad being semi metalic dont have the quick bite, at least not yet that I always get with the SM pads. The "bite" seam more like the ceramics than the SM. So far the "bite comes after some heat gets into them. Whisper quiet still for me. Will update again. 2/27/2025 The last few weekends I was pulling a 4000 lb snowmobile trailer around. I Still maintain that these mimick ceramic pads on the bite. I am used to Semi metalic pad and found myself leaving more distance to stop because of the increased spongy petal effort. Some may like theses and thats ok. They are not horrible and may work for some, but unfortunatly not for me. When I touch the brake I expect the instant grab and controlled stop. This grab has saved my families tail any many times. I will be replacing these soon. These are not Severe Duty to me unless someone put the wrong pads in the box which I suppose is possible. I am reducing from 4 to 3 stars. Sorry

Great quality

These pads are good but the package was opened and had 3 backside pads and 1 front. Couldn’t install. Had to grind off the raised ridges on 1 pad to make it fit. Very frustrating!
