Total and utter trash, abysmal quality.
Yet another cheaply made product that falls apart on its own. Poorly assembled with cyanoacrylate glue and not even remotely moisture proof. I’d be surprised if they last a season as two had solar panel rattling inside housing on delivery and one had the clear plastic top come off on three sides, barely holding on with a single over application of crazy glue. Stay away unless you like to throw money at substandard product that'll inevitably fill your trash can in a short time.At least they do “buzz” on the first day of use.UPDATE:After first rain, five out of eight units show heavy condensation of moisture inside housing (See attached photo). So much for waterproof claims. Seems like it’s getting harder and harder these days to find anything made in China that lives up to advertised quality and performance. Amazon should start penalizing sellers that peddle this trash by selling lies and empty promises of quality that is nowhere near the real life performance. Bottom line, this product fails to meet even the most basic threshold of advertised functionality and longevity.Update 2: returned for a refund. Replacement brand about 30% more expensive but free from any of the annoyances and shortcomings of this brand.

doesn't work even if it works
Out of the eight that came, 4 of them never made a sound or quit working within the first day even though they were in the sun, I would think, enough to charge. I put the units in a line about 15 ft. apart and 15 ft. towards the rear of the direction I wanted to push the critters in order to strategically drive the pests out of the yard by moving them in steps week by week further towards the field in back of my property. Probably within a week a found mole/vole trails within a foot of one of the units. It looked to me like the sound emitted was attracting rather than repelling the things. 6 weeks later, I call these repellers a waste of money.

They seem to do the job - when they work
2/8 were broken upon arrival. I managed to fix one of the two and get it working, but one of the units is still inoperable. Pretty frustrating at almost $10 a piece.Of the 7 working units, they seem to be working well so far.

Very audible to humans
These emit a pretty annoying electronic sound every 30 seconds. I'm not sure how moles would react to these, but it's definitely loud enough to annoy people - just imagine 8 of these going at once. I had to return them before trying them out in the ground, and will order an ultrasonic version so that they hopefully cannot be heard by humans.

They don't chase voles away
I placed the units in several places with no results. They would emit a sound when I placed them and at least 5 of them emitted no sound the next day even though they were in direct sunlight during the day. Before placing them I placed them in direct sunlight for 2 days to make sure they were charged. I had voles or moles make hole within 2 feet of the unit. So it gets a 1/2 star just for quick delivery.

Did not work
I really wanted these to work - especially since they were so expensive - but they worked for a few weeks then stopped. I thought maybe we could change the batteries (even though they're supposed to be solar) but can't even do that. I feel like maybe they were working to repel the moles in our yard for and I even convinced my neighbors to get them but they are all completely non-working.

Seems to work instantly
Our lawn was full of mole hills with new ones every day. We put these in the ground about 30' apart (closer than what the directions say) about a week ago and they seem to work instantly. We have a very large yard and would need twice as many to cover it so we also bought the Castor Oil and applied that before a rain so it would wash into the soil. I gave this 4 stars since it's only been about 10 days. My hope is this will take care of our mole problem and we can have a lawn that we can actually walk on and not since in the ground.

They all do not work
I wrote one review which was not received well and band from print so I will try again. My first order had a bad unit and I did receive monies for the deficiency. So like a dummy I ordered eight more. Now this last order had two defective units. Seems the working ones all sound different but I am not a Vole. The bottom line its been a couple of weeks and the Voles are still here so I am going to use poison. Maybe the Voles I have are hard of hearing.
