Vollrath4" Deep Super Pan V™ Stainless Steel Full-Size Steam Table Pan

I run a group home for the elderly and disabled whom I cook for often. Until now, I've used a shallow cookie sheet to make my famous ribs and I've made a mess many times by spilling the contained liquid when I pull the pan out of the oven. Keeping the liquid in the pan helps the ribs stay moist and juicy, so it is advantageous not to spill it aside from the resulting mess. I needed a deep, large pan to keep all of the flavor and avoid the spillage. Searching Amazon for this kind of item can be a pain. There are dozens of options of different sizes, build materials, and prices. My oven is only 23" wide and my dishwasher is 22" deep, but a rack of ribs expands to almost that size when cut apart. I was searching for a very specific item.The best material for heat transfer is aluminum, but that dents easily and tarnishes faster than stainless steel. This product is 22-guage 300-series stainless steel; which is the exact thickness and material as my kitchen sink. It should last an eternity if well-cared for and will never rust in the dishwasher like 400-series can. The first picture is of the item brand new, straight from the box. You can see that it has an almost mirror finish. The last picture is of the item after the ribs were done, the pan was scrubbed with a Scotch Brite Heavy-Duty Scrubbing sponge twice (once before use and once after), and run through the dishwasher in which it laid flat without touching the sides. As you can probably tell, much of that mirror-finish was scratched away and the appearance is noticeably duller than it was out of the box. This has no effect on the functionality of the item and the same applies to any mirror-finish stainless steel of this grade.After three hours baking, much of the smudged BBQ sauce on the sides of the pan had hardened to a black crust that, on other pans, takes some real elbow grease to remove. This item cleaned up easily and I'd say that it is just one step below a fancy coated skillet in terms of cleaning. Seeing as how there is no coating to this item, I'd say that it was as easy as possible. My aluminum baking sheets are substantially harder to scrub clean after the same process and their coatings have worn away from repeated scrubbing. Seeing as how my time is worth money to my tenants, the time saved cleaning will pay for the pan in just a few weeks and I expect that these pans will last for generations. I purchased two of them and they are well worth the price (which was actually lower than the alternatives that I was looking at).5/5 Stars for an exceptionally well-made item at a decent price, delivered quickly.

Easy to clean, sturdy, retains NO odor from one litter change to the next. Only gripe is it's a bit expensive.

Fits perfectly in my standard oven. Love that i can meal prep a ton in this! Very well made and thick. I don't think it will get bent like some metal pans do! Should last me a lifetime!

This is exactly what I was looking for; making macaroni and cheese for 80 people. It's sturdy and a good price for the quality.

This is a very high quality steam pan. It is thin, but sturdy and is also light weight. I use it for marinating and transporting briskets, steaks, chicken, etc. There are few pans you can buy that are this large and provide such utility for a reasonable price.

I purchased this pan specifically to bake my dressing in for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is the perfect size for my dressing which feeds a large crowd. It has been named the 'my dressing pan'. I was able to bake my dressing in the pan in the oven and display it for serving. Holiday meals are staged like a huge serve-yourself- buffet in my household so this stainless steel pan helped create a great presentation along with all the other stainless steel vessels on the table.
