Visual feedback, silent action with a non-jarring alarm, perfect for my adult ADHD!
Apologies for the long review; I kind of get on a tangent when I find something I like and want to recommend.I've always struggled to keep track of time properly due to the executive function issues related to ADHD, and I've tried all kinds of timers to help me manage things--phone apps, websites, digital kitchen timers, alarm clocks, a really cheap analog timer that I accidentally broke pretty easily, etc. I believe this will be the last timer I'll need to try!Other timers have also taken me by surprise simply because my brain for some reason doesn't really grasp the numbers ("that's 25 minutes already?!" or "how has it only been 10 minutes?!"). The visual aspect of this timer is a lifesaver, as it helps me quickly look up and see the wedge getting smaller. It's a small thing, but it has been really valuable for me. I'm an extremely visual person, so it just clicks better in my head than looking at the numbers and mentally computing the time remaining.I'm also really pleased with the action of the timer; it's smooth to turn, completely silent as it runs, and very easy to stop the alarm per the instructions (turn quickly to 5, then back to zero to shut off). I have mine set to the lower volume (2 options) so that I can have it nearby and not jump out of my skin when I'm hyperfocused, and I also have it set to go off for only 3 seconds. It's absolutely perfect for Pomodoro technique time management without the anxiety of a loud alarm that will go off forever if I happen to go to the bathroom and forget it's running (which has happened). It's also got very clear stops to the action, so while there is a warning not to over-wind it, it'd be hard to do. Very easy to use.Compared to other timers at this price point, analog or digital, I'd say this one was absolutely the right choice for me. If you're like me and want something simple, portable and most of all *visual*, I would highly recommend it.Oh, and just a note based on my own preference and thoughts: if you're thinking of buying it for a child, spouse or friend who wants help with time management, I would recommend getting the blue or green. I definitely steered away from the red because it felt so... intense and punish-y? I chose the blue one, and it's really soothing. Color in the listing seems about right. If, on the other hand, you want something that conveys a real sense of urgency (like "turn the oven off when this goes off or you'll start the house on fire"), red might fit better. ;)

Good timer for easy use
This little timer is really cute! Little space, and easy to use. Previously I have purchased other digital timers and every one of them was complicated to set and reset. However, this timer only takes a second to rotate to any time less than 60 minutes. The red part of the timer indicated how long it remains. My family and I have used it for a variety of purposes, including baking, cooking my steak and grill. Also, the timer too quiet to notice when it is working.Overall, it is a great timer and easy to use.

Love! Just LOVE!
The media could not be loaded. Best purchase I've made in a while and well worth the money, especially as someone who is working to better improve time management skills, while keeping things simple, this timer is awesome!Ihave found the optional blue transparent film with the blue outside is fun to look at, easy to use and read, and I use it daily for various things!**There's a little discoloring of the white plastic that has turned to a slight pink tinge, but it doesn't bother me in the least.Accurate time, easy to read, clear instructions, and quiet enough, but not completely silent... (still can hear ticking for those who are sensitive to that sound).4 options for timer alarm to select:- soft or loud volume-3 seconds of beeps (6 beeps total) or 60 seconds of beeps (120 beeps total)Overall, though, very happy with this purchase!**You wouldn't believe the other visual timer I bought along side with this one that I compare in the beginning of the video. The other one was more expensive, from a (supposedly) much more reviewed/purchased brand with the same star rating, and sped through the time with GROSS inaccuracy... (beware the Secura brand!!)**To clarify, I purchased two visual timers from two different brands to make sure that hopefully at least one would work well enough, but also because I really wanted the blue film one (that fortunately was this one In rebooted and love using), and wouldn't have minded having two different colored visual timers to have one I wanted to keep at work and the other for my personal use at home, incase they both would have worked. It didn't pan out that way, obviously.**

Easy to use, well-made, Simple
I try to subscribe to the philosophy of "KISS" A.K.A. "Keep it Simple Stupid!" I bought this to help me focus on tasks (I have ADHD.) I like that it has two different volume settings. The louder setting is decently loud, and the quieter setting is perfect if I am up late and night and I have the timer on my desk and I don't want to wake anyone in the house. If you want it to stop beeping immediately (rather than waiting for 4-5 seconds it takes to go off on its own) you can quickly turn the dial to zero and it will stop beeping. My favorite feature is probably the red background that gives you a visual representation of how much time is left on the clock. It's easy to understand on some level how much time you have just by glancing at it and seeing how much "red" there is left. Good for visual people. 5 stars. I'll update this review if it fails after some unreasonably short amount of time. (It just sits on my desk and gets occasional use so i don't expect it will break, but I'll let you guys know if it does.)

Lifesaver!
This little timer has been such an enormous help for teaching our 5 year old about time. He is SO SLOW at eating, that we go this to train him to eat faster in time for his 20 minute lunches at kindergarten. While I won't claim he is now a speed demon, he definitely knows what it means when we say he has 20 minutes to go! We also use it for keeping track of how long he is allowed to play minecraft! This is super easy to use and has great visibility. You can sometimes hear some very quiet ticking, but it is very hard to hear (and I'm super sensitive to noises like that). We have it with us during every breakfast and it has never been bothersome. Volume is nice too. Not at all obnoxious if using it at the table. This was a great buy. Zero complaints.

Best timer I’ve ever used!
This had a really comprehensive set of instructions, so I gave it to my ten year old to set up for me. She managed it with ease. The timer is a handy little size and a bright colour, so it stands out in the kitchen. It’s really easy to set the time you want and easy to read too with the red sliding dial.I absolutely love the fact that you can control the volume of the beep, I just wish there was a control like that on the kids!It also has a setting so you can have the beeper just go three times or go for 60 seconds.I’ve bought cheap little timers in the past, but they are never accurate and usually break very quickly. This is a sturdy little thing and I am incredibly happy with my purchase.

The media could not be loaded. This timer has such a great build quality, super easy to use, time clock can be used by kids to time their game time or in the bath, while cooking it even at the gym! No facility to mute the alarm
I’m really disappointed in this.Because it said it was silent, I assumed that there would be a facility to mute the alarm when time is up. There isn’t and as I need this for situations where I’m just keeping time for myself I do not want others to hear this, so I have totally wasted my money.Apart from that it’s perfect!

REALLY PLEASED
so glad I got this, it one of those products you don’t realise you need until you have it. It came well packed in bubble wrap with a sturdy cardboard outer, it’s bright red and I just love the colour it’s also very appealing to Little’s the ones.It comes with full instructions and is super easy to set up, the numbers are large and easy to read, with 4 settings to suit all.I’ve used it in the kitchen for cooking and baking and also for my exercise routines. What Iv used it for the most is with my toddler. I have used it to start making tidy up time fun, they just love it when I turn the clock, a bright block of red just intrigues them and it’s a race to finish to watch I count down and beep! Who knew tidy up time could be so much fun. I’m sure I will find many other uses for it and have just started to use it with my older children for screen time. So many uses, just a great little buy and I would recommend.

You could use your phone but then you'd have your phone in your hand
I bought this as a pomodoro aid. I do have an app on my phone but picking up your phone is a portal to procrastination. This is a cool, one-use-for-one object way of getting around that. The ticking is quiet as you'd expect from a quartz movement, the visual analogue great for seeing at a glance how much time you have left, the quiet alarm quiet enough for desk work, the loud alarm loud enough for tidying/manual taks. It's portable and has old-tech charm.A simple device that fulfils a simple function well.
