Old School...
This "Amazing Grace" CD contains the legendary rendition by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards regimental band, along with an impressive collection of military tunes, marching numbers, and traditional Scottish airs. The recordings date from the early 1970's and are therefore not quite on par with later releases by the Royal Scots Dragoons such as "Spirit of the Glen", but are nonetheless very enjoyable. The medleys, which combine traditional Scottish airs in rapid succession, are especially impressive. This reviewer wishes the CD had included a longer play version of "Scotland the Brave.""Amazing Grace" is highly recommended to fans of the tradition of bagpipe and Highland music.

I love the bagpipes!
Amazing Grace -- how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found -- was blind, but now I see. Wonderful words of hope and salvation as a Christian. My dad's favorite hymn -- and he was a minister of The Disciples of Christ (Christian) Church. Love the album!

Amazing Grace
I was looking for just bagpipers playing Amazing Grace, not additional instruments, something we caould play during a procession or march. Otherwise, it was a good purchase.

Royal Dragoon Guards Regiment Music, Opens My Eyes and Ears Differently.
The Standard to which the Band and Pipes and Drums are played to is a Excellent. However the style of Music is Very Ceremonial. The Reason why I gave it a Four star rating, is because I was used to Listening to the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battallion The Black Watch, that are on Youtube, and who are Very Bullish and are nicely Very 'In Your Face'. Listen to Them, they are Fantastic. This CD may ideally be suited for background level music ( NO Disrespect to the Fine Cavalry Regiment that play All of it ), at a Scottish Themed Evening Dinner Party, or Mid-Morning Chuch Hall Celdeigh. If I listened to the CD before I bought it, I wouldn't have purchased it, because I see the Black Watch is played Very differently.Overall, it's Ok.

Track listing errors and no MP3s available
The disc I have just received is produced by BMG (Camden Original) and contains 25 tracks, not 18 as listed. These are: 1. Amazing Grace 2. Scotland The Brave 3. Pipe Band Medley 4. Highland Laddie 5. Earl Of Mansfield 6. Medley 7. Scottish Waltz 8. The Dark Island 9. The Day Is Ended 10. Campbeltown Loch 11. Going Home 12. Belmont 13. Abide With Me 14. Scottish Soldier 15. Medley (Marches) 16. Drum Salute 17. Medley (Trot & Canter) 18. Medley (Slow March & Walk) 19. Russian Imperial Anthem 20. Heyken's Serenade (Standchen) 21. Jubilant 22. Reveille 23. Cornet Carillon 24. The Road To The Isles 25. The Little Drummer BoyThere are several tracks missing including Bunessan, Song of Joy, Banda and Wooden Heart. As the compilation is different I suspect this disc is a reissue. Cross-check the listing if you want a specific track. The MP3 download link does not work either, as it takes you to a different album altogether.

sounds great, no issues
These sound tracks were required for a special lady's farewell ceremony, having been specially requested by her in her living will to be played in her church service.
