Packaging for Delivery
I LOVE this item! This order comes in packaged quantity of 2 containers. In the same box that was delivered to me, one container had a great safety seal around the lid securing it to the container; however, the other container had no such safety seal at all!!! It looks as if it could have been already opened before delivery and I don't trust consumable items without the safety seal in tact. the 3rd Party states that they accept no refunds or replacements. I contacted Amazon and they were great about issuing me a credit for the container without the safety seal. That container has been disposed of and I'm very happy to have this safety issue rectified by Amazon!

A million uses...but Utz's prices have doubled
Update: I think it's really kind of disgusting the way companies like Utz and Mac's are now "bleeding" the helI out of their keto and low carb supporters who have been supporting them for years...long before the keto craze.I understand supply and demand economics but damn! It's disgusting greed. Sam's Club stopped carrying Utz pork rinds where I live. Now I see why. Members won't pay this. Probably under a year ago, you could get a barrel twice this size way under 10 bucks...(about $6.85) and then the keto craze went mainstream. Same with Mac's pork rinds. You could get twice the amount for the price. Good luck if you are trying to feed a family now and have healthy, low carb protein options for snacks or as a "bread crumbs " alternative in keto or low carb recipes. I want convenience like everyone else but I may have to suck it up and start frying my own rinds. I live in the Southeastern US where pork is king and where there are still local grocers/butchers that sell the raw pork skin that you can fry yourself. We should all protest this ridiculous level of inflation and greed and start taking our deep fryers outside to Plug into the outdoor socket or light the propane under our turkey fryers and make our own pork rinds.Original review: I guess everybody who has ever done a low-carb or keto diet plan is aware of how many uses you can get out of simple pork rinds and there are many. I've used them as coating for chicken cordon bleu. I've used them as a simple and quick snack to satisfy a craving for "chips" and dip. There's even a recipe were you coat them in sugar substitute like Swerve confectioners sugar and roll them in cinnamon and melted butter to create something that tastes sort of like a churro. I like the Utz brand for the freshness and the price. If you go to the grocery store, you will find the baconettes brand of pork rinds for about $2 for a bag that only holds maybe 3 oz of rinds. If you are lucky enough to live near a Sam's Club, you can get a huge 18-oz of barrel of Utz pork rinds for around 6 bucks. You can't beat that price! The same quantity of baconettes would cost you $10. Plus they would not be in a "stay fresh" Barrel that you can repurpose for other things. They would be in a cheesy little cellophane bag that rips and tears when you try to fold it and close it. I've given a bunch of the empty barrels to my dad to use in his garage to organize things like nails and small hand tools. This size on Amazon is not as big as the size that they sell in Sam's; therefore, the cost savings isn't as pronounced but since Sam's Club is an hour away from me, I love that I can get on Amazon and order these and have them shipped directly to me in two days and with no shipping costs since am a Prime member. I try not to run out, but since I am on a keto diet plan, I use them a lot. Mostly for breading and recipes but also for snacks when I need a little extra protein. Really love them!

came from walmart
Okay these are plain...I don't snack on them. I mostly use them to make nachos, so that I am not using any wheat, corn or carbs. People talk about rinds fried in lard, but the back of the skin is where lard comes from and there is no need to add any extra oil like coconut oil. Do I wish this was made with Himalayan salt, sure, but that is three times the price to buy. These last a long time and can be ground up to make a coating for things, but you need to use a lot, though it is quick to do. They are good to use to dip into things like chili. But my preference is to use them to make nachos. I do sometimes put them at the bottom of a dish in the air fryer oven with some meat on top and veggies or such. I don't particularly like the smell of pork rinds, but that cannot be helped, unless you get them flavored. I don't do dips, but I think these would be great to use with dips. They last a long time in my house, and I have never had a problem when I pulled the 2nd barrel out from storage. I was thinking the other day that I want to make onion soup and was thinking to use this instead of bread.

Just watch the date..
They tasted good, fresh, arrive on time and sealed w/plastic around the lid. I was worried about the expiration date i originally purchased them on January 12th 2020 the date was about 2months before exp date , I felt was close so I carry them to work so my co-workers can have a treat ...(they agreed taste great/some say it taste like regular skins just in a plastic jar instead of a bagπ€ . We are having a party at work so I have ordered another set, hopefully the date has change as will as the batch #. I will up date on those I have added a pictures of the (date) and I place them next to my paper towels to help with size. 4stars because of date. Jan 27,2020 Up date on the second set I order the date was moved up a month remember I bought in the same month they was still fresh and taste great πI have added pictures , as far as the date issue they will last a lot longer than expected because it's sealed with the lid ; and the ones we purchase from the local supermarket / Bodega we still protect the freshness bye putting a clamp on it to seal out the air & ants π all in all will I buy again yes, I bought a barrel of pretzels in a huge jug at one the club stores and worried about the expiration dates as well and it work out fine. Now for the price it could considered a bit pricey and can lower, when I'm at one of the big box stores will calculate how many bags it will take to make 18 oz; and price it to check its value of the dollar. Give it a try I did believe it or not we have the same concerned, that's why we read these reviews.

Fine product for low-carb diet but too expensive
I bought one of these here for $29 and I thought I got a great price. However, I later read the answers to questions and the reviews on Amazon and found out that the same product is $10 at Costco. I had to purchase a membership, and there was none in my local warehouse, but at Costco online I could buy this barrel of UTZ pork rinds for about $17, delivery charge and taxes included. I did buy more than one, and added other items so I would not have to pay the delivery. In less than one week, I saved more than enough to cover the membership. Warning: the expiry date on pork rinds is not very long. The bucket I purchased in August on Amazon will expire in October. This was my very first time tasting pork rinds, which are useful for low-carbers and even carnivore dieters. The nutritional profile of the UTZ pork rinds is great: one 15g serving has 8g protein, 6g fat (2.5g sat.) and 0g carbohydrate. I have been especially enjoying them with fish and seafood, like smoked oysters or tuna salad, because I find the taste of pork rinds on their own rather bland. Another reviewer said that at the high price, he expected the best pork rinds in the world and was very disappointed; I would not know personally, but I believe that homemade Chicharonnes made by my Cuban sister-in-law would be a contender.
