I wanted a relatively low cost video camera to add to my external screen.The laptop already had a video camera but I could not use that when the laptop was in the docking station.I purchased this one, followed the simple instructions, especially with how to attach to the top of an external screen.And it worked perfectly first time.Really great and simple product. Perfect.

Bought this Jelly Comb camera to use with a MacBook Air (Intel, 2020), because the inbuilt camera is poor. This absolutely blows it out of the water.Compatibility: Mac detects the camera automatically and all apps I’ve tried it with work as expected.Microphone: Personally I find the mono mic of this camera much more realistic-sounding than the oddly thin-sounding stereo mics of others. It sounds very similar, or slightly better than, my MacBook’s mic (which is pretty decent). This was the subject of a bit of research before buying, and the more pleasing audio led to me choosing this over the newer version of this camera (which has autofocus).Picture quality: Vast improvement in every way over the stock camera. This is not fixed focus but manually adjustable — some sort of adjustment is important, and indeed this was the first change I needed to make. Copes alright with a backlit subject although can blow out the picture a bit if there’s a very bright window; auto white balance is reasonable but a touch cool. Picture in general is incredibly sharp and free of noise compared to stock camera — it’s not even a contest. Biggest difference in low light. I have downloaded a (paid) app from the Mac App Store to slightly tweak the contrast, colour and brightness as the shadows were a bit dark and my cheeks slightly too rosy. This works well, but even without it the picture is quite acceptable.Bear in mind that despite my effusive praise this is not going to match a premium webcam. I do believe it to be excellent for the price, and hilariously better than my MacBook Air. Compared to my work Lenovo laptop, it’s still clearer; but not so much so that I would consider the slight white balance issue, and the extra bulk, to be worth it.Field of view: After reading reviews of some cameras with a surprisingly wide or narrow field of view — resulting in a very zoomed in or out picture — I’m pleased that this camera has an almost identical view to my MacBook’s stock camera. This feels very natural.Attachment to screen: This is fine, but obviously will depend on your monitor. Fairly common lip+hinge+support arrangement. The hinge is stiff enough that it doesn’t slide open while in place, which is good. There’s also enough vertical tilt (and 360° horizontal swivel) on the camera to get the framing right.

The camera fits well on the top of my monitor. Has good adjustment for positioning to enable relaxed and comfortable viewing angle when two people sit and talk on Skype. Pleased with picture quality and scope of picture. Fits the bill for my needs very well.

I was on the lookout for a webcam to support my home office.There is a webcam on my laptop but to work effectively I have set up my office with a monitor so, although the laptop has a cam I found myself looking at the monitor screen and not at the laptops cam when on conferences. Its a little weird when you are looking in the wrong direction when talking on a video conference!The Jelly Comb was so simple to set up. It plugs into a USB port and links automatically, the camera sits snugly on the top of the monitor screen with no need for any special fixings.I bought 2 and the items were delivered quickly and packaged perfectly. I highly recommend this product, there are no bells and whistles it just does what it says on the tin.

I bought this camera for our PC monitor and it fits perfectly on top. The camera also rotates to provide a different angle for your picture and can be focused using the lens, although this all seemed fine and didn't need focusing.It looks larger in the photo, so I was pleased to see it was 3 and a half inches in length and doesn't look at all cumbersome on the monitor. All in all, a lovely camera, well worth the price.

This was the third webcam I had porchased in less than 6 weeks. The first one people complained about the sound quality when I joined Zoom meetings. The second one arrived snapped in two. This one is excellent both visuals and sound. And it is no dearer than its competitors. Highly recommended.

Nice neat web cam that has good definition, works well on all the web meeting platforms I’ve tried.Microphone is adequate but a little tinny so you might want to use an external or headset instead.

there has been boon times for webcan makers during this crisis fortunatley absorbing the pproduction runs of 'BIG' brands. Opening a large double door for lesser known producers. The one thing I can say is for £60 less than the names, this simply out performs. Buy now before they realise.The picture qulity is several thousand times better than built in, I dont use the mike nor laptop speakers but have a cabled speaker and mike set up. still running in £40 less than competitors.So, in my my mind I have bought a better solution at 40% price than punches well above its weight.
