Solid pads, frustrating hardware
Like all Akebono pads I've used, these are low dust and great with NVH. Stopping distance and bite are about equal to OEM. Time will tell how long the last and whether the performance holds up over time, but they should be fine since the rears don't take the beating the fronts do. I was hoping for slightly better performance vs. OEM and maybe should have gone with the Performance pad instead. While it was nice to get a complete kit with the stainless steel hardware included, the fit was not so good. While the OEM brackets snap into the caliper holder and hold tight, the Akebono-supplied brackets fit loosely and make it very hard to slide with the pads into the brackets as they want to constantly come loose and fall out of place. You might be better off cleaning up the old OEM brackets and reusing them to avoid the frustration.

Oem style and no discernable dust.
I use these on the front and now rear of my 2006 Nissan frontier. I had on the front for 66k miles and notice no dust or anything.

Fits: 2005 Nissan Frontier (REAR PADS)
These rear brake pads fit perfectly on my 2005 Nissan Frontier. These are ceramic brake pads which have far less brake dust than semi metallic brake pads. They also are very quite. I have used Akebono ceramic brake pads for my Nissan Frontier, Toyota Camry, and my Toyota Matrix and have had great results with them.Pros:-little to no brake dust-NO noise-OEM or better quality-NEW stainless steel hardware is included-small packet of MOLY grease is includedCons:-the cost is higher than cheaper pads, but you really do get what you pay for! Also, if you were wondering, Akebono is the main supplier of brake pads to many of the Asian car and truck manufactures. So these really are OEM brake pads, without the dealership prices!I do recommend these Akebono ceramic brake pads. I have them front and rear on my three vehicles!

Never even installed em
I love that they are made in the USA, we all know who buy American how hard it is. I didn’t use em due to the back shims plate not being stamped or glued Down this will cause excessive braking noise.

Perfect pad replacements for my 2011 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X
These brake pads were perfect replacements for my Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. I was told Akebono made the OEM pads for Nissan; however, the pads I pulled off my Nissan were made my Hitachi. The quality of the Akebono pads is superb and comes with all the appropriate clips and anti-squeal covers. My only complaint is the pads only come with 2 grams of moly anti-squeal grease, about half the amount required to do both wheels. The pads were super easy to replace, fit perfectly and stop the car on a dime without any squeaks.

Shims/clips are not good fit, come off too easily unlike factory original.
[Good]Silent operation. I am going to do brake works by myself from now on.I can't go any brake shops anymore. They are installing noisy ceramic pads.[Bad]Clips/shims won’t stay in place and fell on ground. So I had to use temporary clamp to hold, or I would have needed a helper.Factory installed retainers are dirty and rusty, but they still click in place nicely. And the pads stay there without any help.

Replaced the pads on my 2009 Xterra.
These were an exact fit replacement on my 2009 Nissan Xterra. So far they seem to be excellent. No noise, less dust than stock and seemingly improved braking (I haven't taken the car to the edge of the earth to test them...just driving and some towing). These come with new clips and retraction springs as well as some anti-seize grease. They went on very easily. The stock setup on the front only used one retraction spring (rear uses none), but installed both on the front and everything is quiet and working great.I'd easily recommend these...at least for a similar application.

Great Pads-OEM
OEM as are Hitachi.Didn't put them on because I have 1/2 the original rear pad. Haynes said to change both front & rear.Eh Eh! why wouldyou waste $$ throwing out a perfectly good pad? Not me. I expect it will be like having drums on the rear. You change the front 3 time for onechange of the drums. It depends on your braking. I pump slow & easy 90% of the time. Saves brakes.
