This turns out to be an excellent and less expensive alternative to other MWF style filters. It looks and feels exactly the same; install was super easy and after I flushed the system, it is producing my drinking water and ice just as I like it; zero taste, just water. Recommend!

This genuine GE MWF water filter works perfectly and fits seamlessly. The water tastes noticeably cleaner and fresh right away. Installation was quick with zero leaks, and knowing it filters out lead and microplastics gives great peace of mind. Highly recommend sticking with the original replacement!

I have used off brand, cheaper filters for years. This GE filter does a much better job filtering impurities out of our water. It's worth the extra price.

So far so good, the install is straightforward. Removing the old filter 1. Place a paper towel underneath the filter to catch any water that may drip during removal. 2. Twist the filter to the left to unlock it. 3. Gently pull the old filter downward to remove it. Installing the new filter 1. Remove the new filter from its packaging, including the protective top cap. 2. Slowly prefill the filter with water. This allows the activated charcoal to absorb water and release trapped air. You may need to refill it a few times. 3. Position the filter so the arrow is facing you. 4. Push the filter upward into place. 5. Twist to the right until it locks securely. You’re all set. Enjoy clean, great‑tasting water.

Would have gave it five stars they just cost too much and I need another but you know it seem to be great between the filter the water pretty good here in Chicago and you definitely need it in Chicago

I order these for my elderly neighbor to replace her used refrigerator filters. They work great and the price is unbeatable. Be sure to place some water inside to prime the filter's ability to build the suction pressure first. Her water is usually pretty good tasting with use.

The GE MWF Refrigerator Water Filter works perfectly in my GE fridge and was very easy to install — just twist and lock in place. The water tastes noticeably cleaner and fresher, with no chlorine smell or aftertaste. It also keeps ice clear and free of any odd flavors. Although it’s a bit pricey compared to generic filters, the quality and peace of mind are worth it. A genuine GE filter that delivers excellent performance every time.

these filters appear to do the job nicely and last for some length of time .. we use an awful lot of ice cubes and we also fill our tassimo reservoir from the filtered water .. and after some months our tassimo was asking to be descaled so i thought it was time to get a new filter as well .. it would be really nice if they were cheaper . 40 quid is a bit painful .. i may cautiously try the cheaper ones next time .. but for now i can rest assured i have the best filter for my appliance inserted snugly .
