Haunted Intrigue In a Vintage Movie Theater
Haunted Love written by Cynthia Leitch Smith is an entertaining short story of spooky paranormal activity in a small town Texas. Right away readers learn some fascinating details about the owner/proprietor of the vintage era theater, and the haunted history of the theater included an unsolved murder of a teenage girl. The story is brief enough to read in one sitting, though it was busy with many outside details that imply there will be another segment to the series. Without a doubt, Smith is a good storyteller-- though the many of the story details could have been saved, and held in suspense, mystery, and intrigue as the story unfolded, or for another segment. For instance, we learn too early that the owner of the theater was a Vampire. The overall storyline was fairly good-- the conclusion was busy with multiple characters and situations that were harder follow. 3* GOOD.**With thanks for the ARC for the purpose of an honest opinion.

Spooky
This was a spooky story told in a small town with a haunted movie theatre. Cody became a vampire by buying blood over the internet because he wanted to be strong enough to fight back when his uncle hit him. Relieved and free after murdering him, Cody buys the old theatre and hopes the ghost won't mind. The ghost is a murdered 16 year old girl who leaves her initial in the dust for Cody to see and messages on the bathroom wall in lipstick for his new hired help to see. Cody can't tell if Sonia, the ghost is warning him to stay away from the theatre or if it is something else, but he is determined to stay, even if it means exorcising her. Unfortunately, because he is a vampire, he can't hold the use the traditional methods (priest, holy water, Bible) to get her to leave. Then Sonia attacks his 16 year old worker Ginny and he must choose between the two girls that have gotten his attention.I only downloaded this because it was free and short. It is just O.K. Not really something I would pay to read or keep on my kindle. Has a "twist" at the ending, but still not a great read.Would I/Did I buy it? Free DownloadWould I listen to it again? NoWould I recommend it to friends? No

Mini Review
I bought this short story off of Amazon, and this is my honest review.I enjoyed this story quite a bit, I was not expecting what happend at all. But once it happened I couldn't stop turning pages and I was sad when it was over. This story was about a young guy named Cory, who turned out to be I guess a vampire. Which I thought was so random but it was cool. He opened up an old cursed theater and hired an "innocent" teenage girl to man the front. Boy did it go downhill from there. There were parts in this little story that happened so fast that I was confused which annoyed me a little but it got better quickly. I enjoyed meeting the characters, even though I wished I had more time to get to know them but I feel like thats the point of a short story for you to be introduced to the characters and what to know more.I enjoyed the mix of Vampires, and ghosts. Normally those two things are usually on their own but putting them both together in a story made it very enjoyable. This small story gets a 4 out of 5 stars.

Very enjoyable quick read
This is a very good quick read. Cody, a recent high school graduate, has opened the Love Theater back up in the tiny Texas Town of Spirit. He employed the mayor’s daughter Ginny to take tickets and run the concessions. But things aren’t as they seem. The theater is haunted, and Cody isn’t what he appears to be.Those aren’t the only two surprises in this story either. For such a short book, it packs a lot of punch!! Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you!

Wonderful short story but will leave you hungry for more.
Even though I knew this was a short story, when I hit the end I wanted to know what happens next. I really did not want the story to end. And that is a tribute to the skill of Cynthia Leitich Smith and her mastery as a wordsmith. For fans of Cynthia Leitch Smith's Tantalize, Eternal and Blessed, you will love the story as it just adds to her cannon and we can't help but wonder who the mysterious inline seller of the energy elixir is. For those who have yet to read her works, it will draw you in. Her writings, in this world she created, are very addictive. The other great thing about this free eBook is it has an extended sample of her new book Diabolical. This was a great short story with a really unique twist. Kudos to Cynthia for surprising me yet again. And I am sure it will do the same for you.

He finds that she is really useful. Never having many friends, he enjoys her friendship along with Sonia's. The ghost of a sixteen year old girl who was murdered in the theater long ago.Cody never had many friends in his short teenage life and now he has two girls. Even if one is a ghost. To read it is to love it
While I now have a 1950 song stuck in my head I do have to say I enjoyed this story. Fast moving but with enough depth to tell an entire story. Where is the love perhaps it's not what you think.

NOT A TYPICAL ROMANCE
Interesting story once I got involved in reading it. Wanted something a little different than a typical love story. This was definitely not typical.
