It's a measuring tape
Not metal case,is plastic. I don't care either way but maybe someone else will. Works as it should, good price. Affordable and decent quality. Easy to use and has a nice lock/unlock feature.

Very Good Value For Money Spent
I've owned Stanley ruler for years and find them to be high quality in measurement and ease of reading. Good value for money paid. A little bulky but offset by other good factors. Professional lock very handy when using. I'v owned various lengths of this brand and found them all high quality

Probably my 4th one of these. No metric scale to sift through. Good old reliable measure.

It's A Quality Product, But
It was mostly as expected, but it's a lot heavier than I thought that it would be. It you clip it to your waist, it might pull your pants down....

16 foot rules...
I've been using this model tape measure for centuries. Well, maybe only decades but it's been a while. I like the 16 foot tape measure. Most rooms within the average home will not exceed 16 feet so this tape measure will measure most things within the average house. It's much lighter and smaller than a 25 footer. Why carry a bigger, heavier tape around all day that you probably will not need? I also like that it is a lock permanently off tape. I'm not a fan of the tapes that require you to push a button in order to pull the tape out to take a measurement. If I wanted to push a button in order to measure something, I'd buy a button. The last one of these I had lasted 15 years. Had I not spilled some gooey stuff on it, I'd still be using it.

Fantastic Tape Measure
I have been using the Stanley Powerlock tape measures for over 35 years. I have a 12 foot and a 16 foot as well.

Actively trying to lie to their customers about the case material
Stanley tape measures for decades were made of strong metal cases. This one is plastic, but instead of being HONEST about it and making it obviously plastic, they gave the plastic a fake silvery finish so people buying it online would of course obviously assume it was metal, like they were for years and years and years. Well it's not, and I don't appreciate companies I work with actively and purposefully trying to trick and lie to me.
