Heroshield Galaxy S9+ Matte Tempered Glass Screen Protector, [Full Adhesive] [Anti-Glare] 3D Curved Protective Film for Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus(2 Pack)

I'll preface this review by saying I did receive this product at a discount to take it for a test drive on my Note 9.In short, this tempered glass screen protector is OK, but definitely not for everyone.For those who are iffy on the LOCA glue applied protectors, this one may not be for you. There are no guide tools for applying this protector. You simply clean the screen, open the tube of LOCA and let it pour onto the screen, and then lay the glass protector down onto the Note 9 (while crossing your fingers that it is aligned evenly). Another reason why this protector may not be for everyone is the finish of the glass. The matte finish creates an almost frosted look to the Note 9 screen. I guess the best comparison would be to that of the Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader. Lastly, the fit of the protector comes up a bit short on the sides. Even with a case I can feel the edge of the protector when accessing the Edge screen on the Note 9. The feel of the protector is great, and due to the matte it doesn't fingerprint as easily as some other glass screen protectors.I personally am going to use it a bit more to see if I can get used to the matte finish. But eventually I can see myself removing it and applying a different tempered protector, or go back to a crystal clear skin I really liked before applying this one.

I followed the instruction video and everything was going fine until the glue was put on. I had checked the surface with an actual level, nothing went wrong with the oil application that would indicate the glue would be a problem, but the glue went on and it became one ball in the middle of the screen instead of a line. I tried to apply the cover anyway and it didn't reach the edges lengthwise and badly overflowed in the middle. I tried to reapply the first screen with the second glue bottle, it seemed to be defective (only a couple of drops of glue came out). I thoroughly cleaned the phone and tried one last time with the fresh screen, and the same thing happened again only slightly less of a blob and instead forming small bubbles.I am very disappointed with this. The instructions don't provide any options if a problem arises during application of any way to fix bubbles. If there is no other way to do it but washing everything and trying again they should at least include more glue, especially when the glue bottles themselves can be defective. This was a solid hour of frustration for nothing and a waste of 30$ for me.

This is the second time I bought Heroshield's product. When I found they had updated their products, I immediately bought one to try.This time I want to share more.All in all, they have made a big upgrade to the old version.1.glue is easier to spread,install, and less smell. when you install, if there are some bubbles in the glue,u should use outlet of the bottle to remove the bubbles before putting the screen protector down.when u put down the screen protector,u also need to be slowly and gently.2.they provide 3 sets of installation kits and a very nice cloth, I will to use it repeatedly.3.the upgraded UV lamp is bigger, brighter, and have better penetration.4.the fingerprint oil. I didn't know what it was at the beginning, because I had never seen it before. After using it, I found that this should be the kind of oleophobic layer.very nice optimization. it can make the screen brighter and reduce fingerprints.5.cotton swabs can be used to absorb excess glue immediately. this material is great. it is really helpful.6 their box is very nice, I like it very much.recommend u watch the installation video before u install. the video can help you install it easier. there are some details: when you cover the speaker and the receiver using the stickers, you should find the right position. I pasted twice, and the packaging of the lamp was difficult to tear open.I have to say that the updated version is quite good. After I install it well, the tempered film is very easy to use and is also compatible with my case. Great product, thanks to heroshield for launching such a cost-effective product.

Everything else looks good but the fingerprint oil was gone. 2 Tubes were in the package with the glue but there was no oil in the clear tube. I installed anyway since I was part the way through with the installation. Some of the glass along the edge of the screen looks like it has bubbles in it after curing with the UV light and wiping with the wet cloth provided as per the instructional video, don't know if this is because of the missing oil. The screen Matte finish makes the screen look blury I put some rainx on it and it looks much better. The edges of the glass are starting to peel up and the glue underneath can be seen through the screen now. I am going to try whitestones dome glass as a friend has that and it looks much better.

First off this is hands down the best screen protector for the s8 and s9 or anything with a curved screen. I went through soooooo many different ones and literally threw them out the day I got them. You have to really follow instructions on the install of this but once you do it once you're good! The only way this thing comin off is if you take it off (oh and I was worried about the liquid glue at first, i thought it would be hard to take off should I ever need to and thought it would leave glue on my phone. It's not hard to take off and no glue residue on the screen at all!) I swear to you this is the best one you can buy! I dont even ever leave reviews but I've wasted literally over 100$ on all the other trash they got out there for these phones and hopefully I can save a few people the hassle. The seller is also extremely helpful if you have any issues btw. I seriously love this screen protector, It looks freakin perfect and its case friendly.

Follow the directions and this will be the best tempered glass you'll have used. I wish there was a non-matt version.
