I bought this for my 10yo son who chews in his shirts. We have bought chewelry that looks like Legos before, but since he is older, thought we’d go for something less conspicuous. This is not it. The “beads” on this are huge. It definitely looks like a chew necklace, not regular jewelry. I’m really looking for something he won’t be embarrassed to wear. The search continues.It does seem durable and pretty easy to clean, although I wonder about bacteria getting into the fabric in between the beads.

I bought this chewy necklace for my 5yr daughter to prevent her from chewing on her glasses & clothing.It’s worked amazingly!! She loves the colors & how “stylish” it is. The beads are a softer material so her teeth & jaw don’t hurt from chewing. It came with an extra clasp too.My only complaint is that she’s been using this since July 23rd it’s now August 21st & she’s already chewed off four of the beads. I feel like it should have lasted a bit longer. Although she does chew on it constantly.I only hand wash it with dish soap so there no deterioration from being in a dishwasher.Overall I would say it was worth the price since it’s saved her $200 glasses.Giving four stars only because we’ll need to buy another one sooner than I planned.

This necklace is super cute and was truly fantastic at first. We loved that the beads seemed thick and durable. About a month or so after consistent, relatively light use we saw our daughter with something in her mouth. We were horrified to see it was one of the large beads that had come off and was at the back of her throat. We had to fight to get her to release it and it was incredibly scary for all of us. We never leave our daughter unattended with anything she's able to chew on, thank god.After the bead was I saw very clearly that it was pretty hollow inside. Not at all as thick as I initially thought. The bead had just crack in half between the two entry points in a perfect line. No teeth marks, nothing.I would be VERY careful with this necklace and make sure your child is never unsupervised with it on.

My 18-month-old is enjoying the necklace very much! The beads are not as large as some others we have tried, which is great as it makes it look more like “legit” jewelry. Also, it’s long enough to pull over her head without having to undo the clasps!As with all toddler toys/jewelry, I would periodically check for damages in vulnerable areas like the clasp. It’s impossible to stop them from biting parts they’re not supposed to. So far, it’s holding up.

Let me begin by saying that I have an aggressive 10 year old chewer. He's severely autistic and has a lot of adult teeth. He does go through these easily, but he loves these necklaces. I highly recommend for babies, younger children and perhaps less aggressive chewers. I will continue to purchase. They make him happy (shrug) :)

This is amazing my little girl is kindergarten has PTSD from father anxiety chews on everything and anything. The first few days she had it was awesome no chewing on anything some mean kid made fun of her and now she hid it where I can't find it and it makes me so sad because she's had a rough little life and I do everything I can to make things better and mean little kids show her different so moms and dads with little like this don't send it to school it does work wonders if yours eat pencils and note book

I bought these for my 3.5 year old boy/girl twins. They were putting everytjing in their mouths. They really like them and i am very happy with this purchase. They chew it and not crayons, toys, paper...They are very durable... yes still soft enough for them to chew without hurting their teeth.Its safety feature is great but it does tske a little getting used to for my son. He was yanking it off on accident at first.. but got used to it and only used the break away thing when he wantednit off. (My daughter is a little bit smaller than my son. .. so it fits over her head for putting on and removal.. he has to take the clasp apart to put on and off.

I wanted to get this for my daughter to wear, however it was clearly an adult size and could not be worn comfortably by her as it dangled considerably and got in the way. Luckily one of the sides clasps came off and I was able to untie the thread, pull off several beads from each side and shorten it to her length. My toddler has also managed to bite off the tip of the star after only a week, but I don’t think it’s the manufacturers fault.
