Comprehensive guide for beginners and advanced users
I rarely give anything a 5 star rating because something has to be truly exceptional for me to give it a perfect score. This books earns my 5 star rating because it is very comprehensive. I have other beading loom books that have left me scratching my head trying to figure out how to do something because the author skips over important information. Not this author. This book is so well written that you could hand it to a beginner who has never used a beading loom or even used seed beads before and they could get it right the first time they tried. However, this book also covers advanced techniques such as edging techniques, adding fringe, adding beads off the side and using beads other than seed beads in your looming. This book is over 900 pages and provides multiple patterns and projects that are used to teach you starting from a basic design to advanced designs.

Great book with lots of fun projects!!!
I started using a beading loom a few months ago. I bought a kit and made the bracelet that case with that kit. I bought this book to help me understand more about what I can do. And it did not disappoint!! Very detailed instructions that are easy enough for beginners. And a lot of explanations about looms, beads and threads. I have never made bead accessories before but I thought I would like this because I like cross stitch. I just finished the first project. I changed the colors but other than that I followed the book.I’m looking forward to making more bracelets.

Excellent for beginner or intermediate beaders!
While the book has less projects than I anticipated (based solely on the cover), I found the book to be an excellent reference book. The book explains fundamental things such as "warp too wide" and "warp to narrow" with explanations on how you can adjust. The pictures are in color, so it is easy to see how it should look. Probably the most important thing I came away with was the "Pull and Pray" method of warping, which leaves you with only 2 warp threads to weave (yay!). Her suggestion to use nylon for the warp thread is priceless; you won't split a nylon thread as you are weaving.Since findings to finish bracelets can be quite dear, the book gives you a number of options for finishing your project. Included in this is a "cap" using Ultra Suede or felt (teeny, tiny pieces) that allows you to use almost any type of finding to finish. Most of the projects have variations that let you use your favorite colorway, and some of them have ways of using different size beads. This is the book to buy if you are a beginner or even intermediate loom beader. If you are the type of crafter that can run with an idea, get it!

A book for beginners and up.
This is a book for any level of loom bead work. She explains about a lot of things with different types of bead looms and techniques. I am self taught. I simply got a loom and followed the in box directions. I learned the hard way some of the things this book explains. I also learned a better way to do some techniques. There are diagrams and pictures to help with explanations. Most are in color, diagrams are detailed. Patterns present explain best type of loom and techniques to make. This is a book to make bead looming easier to understand and do. I have the Kindle version. This means I can enlarge diagrams for better visualization.

I Really Wanted to Like This . . .
I feel terrible writing a less-than-stellar review when it comes to someone else's creativity, but I feel I'm being generous with three stars. I bought the book based on the better reviews and was hoping for a "younger, hipper" version of loom books I already own. I did a bit of looming 20 or so years ago and am now getting back into it, so I'd wanted to pick up some new techniques. There weren't any and as others have said, the designs are a bit hokey. Given that the book is so expensive, I can't justify keeping it, so it's going back for a refund.Even though the following books are oldies, they're goodies: Don Pierce's Beading on a Loom and Sharon Bateman's Contemporary Loom Beading. I'd recommend them for better techniques and information (but again, the projects leave something to be desired; Pierce's book doesn't have any projects, but does have an interesting gallery of arty loomed pieces).

Awesome book
What a great book! I love the way she explains everything. Even if the patterns are not exactly what you want (and why would you just copy things?) she shows you how to make it your own, just the way you want it. The illustrations are clear and easy to follow. So happy that I ordered this on Kindle, so I can take it with me when I travel

This book is great for the beginner as well as the experienced
This book is great for the beginner as well as the experienced. The step by step process and projects are great as they inspire the beginner and it helps avoid frustrations while beading in a loom for the first time. The descriptions for the techniques are clear. The chapter where it shows the different looms provides a great baseline for the beginner as to where to start when it comes to decide the loom to use for the first time. It is a very good reference guide for the experienced. The projects are great and inspire the experienced as well as the beginner. They serve as a starting point and can be built upon to arrive at a larger finished project.

Informative
I found this book to be very informative. I especially liked the section on adding decorative edges to bead loomed bracelets and though I am not skilled (at all) with a needle and thread I followed the directions and added a nice edge on to a bracelet I had loomed that I just wasn't quite satisfied with and the edging made the difference. Lots of good ideas to try.
