Networking Made Easy: Get Yourself Connected (Computers Made Easy) Review: Set up a Workgroup peer-to-peer home or small office network with the greatest of ease! - I finally decided to network my home computers -- three desktops and three laptops. This book made creating a Workgroup with the computers and a couple of printers connected to each other very easy. If you're looking at creating a small Windows network, this is a great guide. If you're looking at creating a domain model with a permissions control server, file server, and all the complexity that roaming profiles create, call a professional. But for applications like mine and for a modest size office, the guidance in this book is great! Review: Great book for networking made simple. - Great book for entry learning to networking. Very easy to understand without being too overly complicated (for those that don’t like to read). Great examples that can me done at home to completely understand the terms and abbreviations. My husband have bought other books but this is the only book I have seen him really enjoy reading and don’t feel bored reading. Great book, simple without feeling stupid, references are easy to learn. Great great book. Would also recommend “Computers made easy” from the same author.

Ok overview of the material
I thought the author did good on a brief overview of networking as a whole. This would be a good starter book on the subject.

Very helpful
I bought all 3 books in this series. (Others are Compuers ME and Win 10 ME) This book is at the perfect level for many people. Well-written, easy to understand, but not too dumed-down. Pefect for me, a long time computer user who has never seriously explored networks until now. It's a very good starting book for understanding networks, in a practical sense. for people who wish to apply the unformation seriously and continue to more advanced involvement, or people starting a career in this field.

Very basic
Covers what to hook up and how. I am a very limited skilled guy on computers, but there didn't at first glance seem to be anything I had not already figured out. I will have to give it a more thorough look. Otherwise, very decent quality paperback.

Simple easy to do understand primer
This was very well written and easy to digest. Anyone that needs to do and a way to start to understand the basics of networking would be comfortable after reading this. The author does a great job of keeping things simple and easy to digest.

I didn't know just how much I didn't know!
I've been using computers for more than 25 years but when I stepped anywhere outside of my little world of knowing the basics of Word, Excel and Project I was lost. I grew up long before using computers was ever taught in school. I had some clients in the EDP business and if you aren't old enough to know what that is it's Electronic Data Processing but I barely understood how they did what they did. Upon being told by a friend that I should read Mr. Bernstein's book, Networking Made Easy, so I did. Now, I have a much better understanding of the world I'd barely understood before. I'll now try reading some of his other books and see how much of a Geek I can become! Tom

It is what the title suggests
Easy to read and understand. Not much info for advanced networking but the high level overview it gives is good. It's as advertised, networking made easy but not deep dive.
