Like it better than using my Welding helmet. It light, right shade, and at least for me, the fit is great.I don't flip the shade lens. I found it cumbersome to flip up or down especially when you have a face mask.I got a Neoprene eyeglass strap for the eye wear so if I want to see with out the shade, this pair just hangs on my neck to check my work.

I bought these glasses for use in my new hobby of glassblowing. I couldn't be happier with the quality, usefulness, and price of these glasses. The IR filtering lenses flip up easily to enable us of the regular safety lenses beneath. The reading-glass inserts, set into the safety lenses like bifocals, are very useful and fully as functional as my dedicated reading glasses. All three optical components--IR lenses, safety glasses, and reading lenses--are clear and distortion-free. In a couple of weeks of use in a glass-blowing studio, the lenses have resisted scratching and the glasses are quite comfortable. I cannot think of a single thing that should be improved on these.At their price point, these are a screaming bargain. If you look at the price and think they would be comparable to some cheap K-Mart sunglasses, you'd be wrong. Highly recommended.

one of kind product great for plasma and acetylene cutting.I keep seeing comments and rating on this product as sunglasses they are not sunglasses they are specially designed for Welders to cut with using plasma or acetylene they are 5.0 shade lens designed for cutting you all are miss rating these glasses. These are special because I can measure and mark with my glasses on or grind with them, then flip the shaded lens down and cut, I don't have to switch between two pairs of glasses, Cutting Glasses and Safety Glasses / Grinding Glasses.

Does not block 630nm. Useless for red light.

These are perfect for looking into a 2400 degree ceramic kiln. Great eye protection for both impact resistance and UV light.

Really enjoy these glasses. They are a great in between when you don't want a full welding shield, but its too bright for standard eye protection. I use these while blacksmithing to protect against the bright furnace. Also works nice during long periods of grinding metal (those sparks are very bright if you stare at them!).

As glasses/sunglass, they leave something to be desired: cheap, some visual distortion (image shift), uncomfortable and heavy on nose (though the bridge is adjustable), stiff action, unpleasant green shade. But it is a double layer of thick polycarbonate...

The glasses made it to my house very quickly and had no imperfections.I use them everyday and have the option to have sun glasses or clear really helps
