Carburetor Replacement for Kohler CH13 CH14 CH15 CV13 CV14 CV15 CV16 Lawn Mower Replaces AM125355 12-853-57-S 12-853-80-S 12-853-82-S 12-853-139-S

Recently I had the motor get so worn out on my lawn mower I pulled a motor off a broken down John Deere STX 38 with a Kholer Command 13 (CV13) and swapped it. The motor was in great shape on the John Deere, but the body and everything else was broken. After swapping the motor I had issues with getting the carb needle to seal off in the seat. Looking at OEM carbs and rebuild kits I was shocked at the prices. I found this little carb for sale for 20 bucks. I was hesitant at first, but I figured what the heck. It worked perfectly. Engine has never ran so smooth. It idles perfectly and mows with good power. Great buy.

My mower was taking 20 or more pulls to start but ran fine once it started. I replaced the carburetor and it still would not start easily. I finally figured out it was the head gasket. So I replaced the head gasket and tried to start the mower, it started 3rd pull but ran badly. So I put my old carburetor back on and it started first pull. Now it starts first pull and runs great. I still have this carburetor if I need it but I know I'll have to adjust it to make it run well with it.
