Oxidized after first use
Got these two days ago. Been wanting to make a Filipino dessert (steamed sticky rice cake) known as kutchinta. The molds were a little big, but not really an issue. I oiled them well before pouring the mixture. Had a little trouble taking out the rice cakes around the edges, but the bottom part came out quick. It was also easy to clean despite the food sticking on the sides. The downside and the disappointing part is that most of the molds discolored after first use. Not sure if it is still safe to use as they oxidized already. I do not recommend buying these as they obviously are made of poor quality materials. I wish I just bought silicone molds instead.

Great buy and perfect size for egg tarts
Perfect size for my egg tarts. Used a cookingbrush and added some cooking oil in the form so it doesn't stick to my egg tarts. Came out great first time I made them.

My wife asked me to get these and she was excited because this was what she was looking for when she got them. Last night she tried them out and I helped her to make a Philippines desert called puto and they came out great. I agreed with another reviewer that they came in an old ziplock bag but we cleaned them good and my wife was not even thinking about it so it was really for her. The good thing is they are great and because she was so happy to make them. Alot of them! Now we got to get a bigger rice cooker which is where she steamed them from. The steamer only held 4 cups at a time. She wants to get a bigger steamer to speed up the process... LOL...UUgggggh!!

Good for egg tarts but a bit small
It was not easy to find these egg tart molds in retail stores but luckily found them here on Amazon. I didn't measure the size of the big egg tarts sold at bakeries so was just a bit disappointed when it wasn't as large as we expected. The molding is pretty sturdy but can be bent with extra force. I don't see it being a problem retaining this shape so it's meant to last compared to the cheaper foil ones for one time use.I forgot to take a picture of the egg tarts after they were completely baked but they were perfect. We were able to knock the tarts loose and most of them fell off cleanly. A few of them left the pastry on the sides. The only thing I didn't like about this was the cleaning part. It's a pain to remove all the little crusts that remain on the edges. It looks pretty but a pain to clean. Maybe will try the more rounded shape next time.Overall very happy with this purchase although it was a tad on the smaller side.

Perfect for egg tarts!
Bought these for a cooking class learning how to make Dim Sum at home. They are aluminum, so if you handle VERY roughly they will almost certainly become deformed, but they are quite sturdy under normal handling circumstances. They are the perfect size and depth to make egg tarts - our recipe said it would make between 12 and 15 tarts (depending on the size of your eggs and how thin you made your crust) and we got 14 tarts out of it - so I am glad I bought more than 12 pans!I had no troubles getting my egg tarts out after baking - I sprayed very lightly with cooking spray before putting in the dough and they slid out without a problem once cooled. A few had the custard filling bubble up and ooze between the dough and the pan and one one of those had any sort of sticking, but a few light taps with my finger and gentle wiggling of the tart and I didn't even need to grab a toothpick to help it out of the pan.I would 100% recommend these. My husband would tell you these tarts are "bite sized" as he would eat one in one mouthful, but for me I had roughly 4 bites per tart.

Too shallow for egg tarts...
I bought these to make egg tarts, thinking I could get away without having to buy those deep mini tart/brioche pans (which cost way more). But no, lol. These are way too shallow for egg tarts. Not sure what I was thinking.... These are more suitable for making mini tartlets. By the way, I measured the side length (from the bottom edge to the top edge), and it is about 2.4cm. And the product description is correct. The diameters really are 7cm (top)/4cm (bottom) and the depth is 2cm.

Perfect size for small tarts
I bought these to make a dessert tart and I am very pleased with the quality of the tins and how they bake up the tarts. The smaller size was perfect as the dessert I made was very rich. I will use them again and again and will be confident of how they will bake my recipes.

Exactly the tins I am looking for
There are so many egg tart tins some are cheap some are expensive. I don't want flimsy tins. Luckily someone commented they are sturdy. Yes! they are good quality egg tart tins. I am using these to make HK style egg tarts

Perfect size for my custard tarts
I purchased these mini tart pans for my Portuguese custard tart recipe and they worked out perfectly providing a crisp flaky crust and a thoroughly cooked custard center. After researching the benefits of using aluminum tart molds vs the non-stick tart pans, I'm very happy with the recommendation for the aluminum pans for custard egg tarts. I'm very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend them.
