Appears to be a reliable test kit
I cut the test strip paper in half to test a sample from 1) controlled group known substance (dried semen) and 2) suspected yet unknown substance (which after the test I suspect was merely dried vaginal discharge). I placed a small amount of water on each sample, then scrubbed each one with a new swab (3 are included in the kit) to ensure the substance transferred. The known sample initially was light color but within seconds turned to the darker color seen indicating that the test strip had a reaction to the semen. The unknown substance was light color and didn't change color at all indicating no test strip reaction and therefore negative.

No Gloves but Do Not Touch!
We had a burglary, first realized when dirty jeans in the laundry room were found inside out. We always turn our pockets inside out, but never the jeans - odd, then minds start to race with one thought being that someone turned the jeans to smell the crouch!, Gross-right. That idea was followed by finding a whitish stain on the family room futon - a spot just large enough to be...well, we bought this semen test kit.No gloves were included. The test strip is sandwiched between two thin plastic sheets, one clear and one solid white. Had to guess that the clear side would be the one to put the sample on, so the white side would be the base. Pulled apart this packaging while holding the sample, which is moist and should not dry out, on the cotton swab in hand. The test strip pulls up sticking to the clear top plastic and not instead staying glued to the white base. You see the dilemma - hands full, one pulling, one with swab - which should not dry - pulling, test strip surface not glued down, NO Gloves AND a test strip that is a (no matter what you do) Do Not Touch!!! There is a second swab - for reasons that would led us to another story - this second swab is still in the small open plastic-foil type bag, as luck would have it, close at hand (pun, yes) grabbed the second swab with pinky of the hand without the first swab - which Still should not dry - while that hand held the white base side...confused...using this never moist swab, managed to hold down the strip onto the white base while continuing to pull the clear top plastic Finally off, then took the Hope-it-was-Still-Moist swab and swabbed the surface of the test strip.Four different instructions all from the manufacturer, including a video on their web site, a separate YouTube, step-by-step directions on their web site and on the package - all to some important degree different, yet all consistent on one point - Do Not Touch! And still Gloves were seen everywhere except enclosed in the kit.

Can’t tell if this worked or not
I found a weird fluid material on something I bought and it smelled just like semen so I thought why not test it. This is the result that came from it. Does anyone know the result of this? Can’t tell what it is

Poor quality
When following the instructions the test strip tears apart when peeling the film from it. Tried several times from all four corners and could not get it to separate properly per the instructions each time. Not a usable product.

It worked perfectly, very quickly, and was relatively cheap.
We had two samples, and one was negative, the other positive. They were each 2 days old, and had been refrigerated. We used tap water to dampen the qtips. The negative turned the paper a watery translusent color, and the positive only took two seconds to become very purple. It worked perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't tell which side of the paper to use. We started peeling the paper off the wrong side. Fortunately, the fiber paper that changes color could, if need be, work without the clear plastic on one side and white paper on the other. With gloves on, you can't go wrong.

Based on the info known of this product appears my chick is less of a ho than I thought. 🤷♂️
Even if the test strip splits to the plastic pinch the swab between n spin. I know we aren't scientists, but at least exercise the common sense part of your dome. Let's all find our person so we don't need to be buying this product. Good luck y'all and love you 😘

Did not work, do not buy
This is a joke. Was stuck together and its tiny. For as much as you pay for this you should get a few and they should actually work. Tested half a piece on known semen and the other half on suspected semen. It did nothing. Maybe it was due to the clear piece being stuck to the other piece which caused it to be defective, but for $18.00 for one strip you should have a better product. Now I will never know the truth. :(
