LufkinCrescent 1" x 25' Hi-Viz® Orange Yellow Clad Power Return Tape Measure - L625N

I've about a dozen tape measures, this has been my go-to for thousands of measurements in building my workshop. I'm just a big fan of pink, wanted a known brand, so gave this one a shot. I prefer using it over most of my Milwaukee, Stanley, etc tape measures. A lot of the coloring is wearing off, but other than that this is a great tape measure. The 1/32 increments for the first foot are great.

Almost immediately the tape developed a permanent bend in the blade at about the 8" mark. Because of this, whenever you've got it extended more than an arms length, it's impossible to measure because the hook wont stay engaged with the end of whatever you're measuring. I don't know of this was a fluke or if maybe the blade is being made with a lighter weight material than the older generation Lufkin 625s. My 10 year old 625 is still working well. The new tape has limited use to me now

Been working in the steel industry for over 33 years now. This tape measure doesn't confuse me with printed fractions. Light, easy to read and no magnet to gather debris. About to order exactly 10 more at this low price. Great delivery, too. Olin C.
