cool little piece of kit for those caffeine addicts
Cool little piece of kit for those caffeine addicts. I really like this french press/pot. I have no doubt that the stainless pot will hold up for years, but I'm not sure long term how the nylon parts will hold up, especially since we cook over open fires in sometimes windy conditions. Only time will tell, I have about 6 different coffee making apparatus for camping , from Biolite, 2 Aeropress, old school enamel percolator, etc but so far this is my favorite. It's not perfect but it is robust, is simple and makes a few good cups of coffee at a time with good filtering. If I were to gripe (or add some design requests) I would include a stainless lid that can be used over an open fire in place of the nylon lid. I actually tried the lid from the STANLEY Adventure The Nesting Two Cup Cookset, and it kind of worked but the lid doesnt really fit but sort of sits in the top of the pot precariously via friction. It helps water to boil faster and over open fires near the ocean, keeps sand and ash from blowing in. I also might think about using the french press idea from the biolite press. Seems like it could save some space and weight. This is also a great size for backpacking, its a hair under 1 LT but bigger than a lot of the other ones out there, plus its stainless so you can use it just about anywhere. Over all this is a great pot for those who aren't counting grams and want a pot/coffee press that can stand up to a lot of abuse and shine in multiple scenarios.

Good coffee
Love this French press! I’ve actually never used a French press before this one. Took it camping a couple weeks ago. Had fresh coffee two mornings and was not disappointed. It will go with me on every camping trip from now on. It is well-made- it functions as designed. I like how the handles fold for packing but unfold enough to hold onto to move around the cook top and pour. I didn’t boil the water but it got pretty close and then use as directed. My coffee was hot enough for me to drink 2 1/2 cups. Taste was good.

Makes great coffee
This French press is very easy to use if you’re camping or at home. It performs its function very well. You can place it right over the fire or burner on your stove. Very simple and durable design. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it and expect it to last many more years. It’s small and compact and well worth it for those mornings in the woods. Makes great tasting coffee! There’s nothing like enjoy a great cup of coffee while camping. Start your morning off right and get this!

As described
Worked perfectly for coffee while camping, could even use to warm soups or teas!Be cautious that the inside strainer is plastic so I would not use while still boiling hot.

Daily use Coffee Press and other uses.
Lasted for two years before my handle mount broke off. I haven't contacted Stanley yet, but this thing is amazing. I have boiled milk, soup, chili and so on in this. Coffee is easiest to do. Just pour your water in and let it sit and bingo, great coffee less than 10 minutes later. I have also boiled water while camping, or just being lazy or during power outages, and I HAVE my coffee, while everyone else goes to coffee stands (BUT what happens when those coffee stands are out of power like when a whole peninsula looses power) .... I STILL HAVE my coffeeThe design is simple, still plunges great and has suction. Coffee doesn't stay hot for long though, thats a downfall. Compact enough. I have stuck in my packs and doesn't take up tons of space, and I like that its just two pieces minus the lid.I USE it daily.

It’s a great press
I give 5 stars because of the reviews and know people who have this and tell me it’s great. Just dont like the fact that it was shipped in a bag wrapped in gift wrap paper and not a box, There could have been damage from shipping. But in my case there was not.
