This buffet server has everything I am looking for compared to other similar items in the market. Below are the winning criteria of my choice.On / off switch,adjustable temp setting,lid hangerslids with spoon slot,I tested the warming base, it is pretty hot to keep dishes warm. I can't wait to use this buffet set. The only sad thing is, mine came with dent on the warming base, but I am contecting the company for that.I also want to comment on the tray setting frame, you have to be careful since it is not so strong and the corners/ edges are pretty sharp. I got a cut while opening the box. So I would suggest using gloves or towel while handling the piece. I am happy with the look, product quality and the features. I would definitely recommend this buffet set.Updates 9/21/2016So I got the chance yesterday to use my buffet set for the first time. After setting up the dish pans with food, I placed them over the setting frame, the food wasn't warming up after 30 mins, then I realized the bottom of the pans were not touch the warm base. So I decided to remove the frame and place only 3 dish pans alone, the food gets warmed up. Today, I try placing the pans inside the frame,(the pans are touching the warming base), so for next time I should set the pans inside the frame, not hanging over the frame since it gives about an inch gap between the bottom of the pan and warming base.

This thing has come in so handy for family functions, and works great. We have used this several times since we bought it. We store it in the original box when we are not using it. It works to keep food warm for long periods of time. No flame necessary. The only complaint I would have is that the lid holder design is a bit goofy. Other than that, I would highly recommend this for people who are having come and go events like birthdays, funerals, graduation parties etc. Also works great for Taco Night!!!

I use this to serve heavy appetizers buffet style at parties, usually 10-15 people. I preheat the unit and put the food in right out of the oven. It keeps everything hot for at least 2 hours. The base can be used as a warming tray using your own cookware. This is so much easier to use than those open flame chafing dishes. The unit easily fits right back into the box for storage. The only downside I have found is that the cord is short, so be sure to have an extension cord available if you don’t have an electrical outlet close to your serving area.**Someone requested warranty info so I have added pics of the warranty pages in the user manual.

This type of product (in our house at least ) only comes out for a special event. The power lead is shorter than I liked but we managed to set it up on our kitchen island and it kept food warm very well.I know it’s picky but most of the time this item is boxed up and put away. There are a lot of pieces to it and you have to assemble them in an inverted construct to get them to fit in the box they came in. For the want of an extra cardboard box height of 1”, all that hassle could be avoided.

We had a birthday party that lasted 8 hours. All the way till the end, the food was kept hot. People were uncovering it to serve and we were refilling. The food was hot all the way to the end. Very pretty, very easy to clean, very easy to use.

Item is large enough to heat three medium sized casserole dishes. It is very light weight and stores easily. Heating elements performed as expected.

I use this for my fam in the AM. I have to leave before the sun thinks about waking up. I can make up breakfast, throw a piece of foil in the dishes and lay out the food, and they get a warm breakfast before heading off on their adventures, or school. When I get home, I recycle the foil and the dishes are ready for the next day. I dont use every dish every AM. But, it holds eggs, toast, meats, breads, and dishes of porridge warm until they can get to it. good buy. We are hoping to use it as the holidays approach as well.

The product is really nice and gets hot fast! No complaint there. I was just disappointed because the lid holders did not come with it. The main reason I bought it was because it had lid holders. I contacted Betty Crocker customer service and was told to leave a message. I did and was never contacted. Called a few more times and was never contacted still. Maybe it is the pandemic causing the phone call backs to be slow I do not know. But like I said it still operates perfectly just wanted the lid holders and then it would be perfect!

Ordered two of these for Christmas to serve a large family gathering that had become very stressful. Cooked everything the day before (even the turkey) and just warmed and served in these warming dishes. People didn't sit down until 1 1/2 hours after putting food out and everything was HOT, moist and delicious! I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier. I was able to relax and not worry about herding the masses to sit so the food wouldn't get cold. Then I simply stored in the trays and rewarmed and served the next day for left overs. Brilliant! The volume capacity is great for a large group of 20+.

These are for our Clubhouse at a Senior's centre. We bought three as we have social events regularly. Love them. The versatility of having the buffet warmer plus the three individual containers is so practical. They work as promised.
