Great flavor

Pros:I believe this is the only vegan option if you want Au Jus. There was an "Everyday Essentials" brand that was vegan (these use beet juice instead of beef fat), but I believe it was discontinued, because not only did it go on clearance at my grocery store 2 years ago, but I cannot find it on for sale anywhere in the world. I've compared the ingredients and they are exactly the same, which is pretty curious. This one has slightly less sodium.I tend to crave a french dip sandwich sometimes (personally, I used a meat substitute, of course). This packet makes 2 cups, which seems to be plenty for 3 big french dip sandwiches. Note that you could make a half a batch using half the water.Cons:This is significantly more expensive than Everyday Essentials (seemingly no longer available anywhere).UPDATE: now it is 3x more expensive, so I won't buy it again.I recommend this if you are vegetarian or vegan and want to use au jus.

No more making my own au jus. This is too good.

Absolutely as good as a New York diner

Perfect with prime rib on Christmas Day as well as a French Dip any day. Good flavor and simple to make.

Good value

Disapointed to find out it was vegan only after buying. There is no way true Au Jus could or should ever be vegan. Beef taste is noticeably absent. I do not recommend this product.
