PetSafeMartingale Dog Collar with Quick-Snap Buckle, Durable and Nylon Material - Medium, 1 Inch, Deep Purple

My roommates Pit Bull would continually Houdini out of his harnesses. We would spend hours at least once a week having to chase him down when putting him outside on the run with any of the harnesses purchased. I purchased this collar finally to go along with the use of his harness clipping the 2 leash lead on the collar and the other clipped to the harness. If he got out of the harness still the collar would stop him from backing out of it completely and stopped him from his weekly joy runs.It's great for his walks also. When we would walk him and come across a loose pet, he use to back out of his harness to get to play with them (very friendly not a fighter) this collar stopped him from being able to do this and keeps the walk under control.

Some dog's heads and necks are the same size so regular collars can slip off and your dog can bolt. Not with these. They gently snug up when you tug on the leash and no escape is possible. I rescue sighthounds and these are the only collars we use. They are great for all dogs. Easy to adjust for neck size and really pretty, and no big, clunky buckle.

I first ordered the medium 3/4 width with a diameter of 11-15. Itcould not be made smaller than 15" ,so it was returned. I then order the small 3/4 "width,the discription states the neck size to be9-11" .This collar has a tag that's says small,but can not be made smaller than 12.5".

Nice collar, but tight buckle makes it difficult to remove.

This collar is great but the sizing is off. I bought a medium to fit my dogs 14" neck as the listing says and she can pull her head right out of it. Luckily I can sew so I tightened it a bit.

I wasn’t expecting much as it’s a $6 collar but it’s surprisingly made well and has good materials and stitching. I have a puppy and even with the smallest size it was still alittle too big after tightening it fully. She’s 4 months and decent size so it’s not like I’m complaining about a 3 day old not fitting in it lol. Other than that it’s great for the value, definitely a good starter collar until they’re more grown and you can get a cool one that’ll last a while 😂

I like the product its nice i just got 2 sizes that were a little bigger than expected i have 3 chihuahuas one is a mix and his collar was perfect but for my other too the small size was too big and they weigh 11 &13 IB next time i will get the petite but great product

I love this collar!! It’s not too thin or too wide for my large service animal which requires more than one collar.

we bought the large as it said 13"-20" neck, our dog is 16" and even at it's smallest size it is too big. it fits our 20" dogs neck with over an inch to spare!

I initially bought the large flr my dog having measured carefully. That arrived and was too big. I then ordered the medium which fits oddly enough but it jas made no difference to pulling. If anything it made it worse. I am returning both nut have to find a ups drop off point and print off multiple documents. Waste of time and money.

Good quality and reliable. Easy to fit and easy to get on and off.It does not stop my dog pulling, but it does give a bit more control when it does pull, and it also removes any possibility of slipping out of it's collar.I bought the 3/4" Small and it fits my dog perfectly. My dog is the size of a small working lab or a large show springer spaniel.This is a good buy.

After our dog managed to slip out of her body harness (and we still don't know how she managed that), we thought we'd try something different. I read that martingale collars don't choke or hurt dogs when they pull, so bought this one. We're very pleased with it. It works very well, and we've noticed that she pulls a bit less when using it than she did with the harness. Very easy to use and adjust, and it looks great on her too.

Collar quality seems fine, but the way these collars are measured is all wrong. Most martingales are measured when not cinched, so as if they're regular collars. I have a dog with a 9" neck, so I bought a size small which is 9-11". But these measurements are when cinched. The length of this collar at its smallest size, when not cinched (so when it's just loosely on her for walking - as they should be, if a dog isn't pulling) is 12.5" - WAY too big for a 9" neck. If it's not cinched and she puts her head down, it just falls right off, at its tightest setting. A martingale should be measured as collar length, not cinched length. You buy a martingale to fit your dog's neck size as a regular collar does and the cinch is that extra bit of protection against a dog slipping out, when needed. So a 9-11" martingale should fit a 9-11" neck, then have the ability to tighten further when cinched. I bought 2 collars at the same time from different sellers, both size small, both 9-11". The other one fits exactly as its supposed to. Unfortunately now I have to return this one and order another of the other kind. Fortunately customer service seems ok and returns appear quick and easy, other than an unexpected and inconvenient trip to the post office. If you're buying one of these collars, BUY IT SMALLER THAN YOU THINK YOU WILL NEED because the sizes listed are cinched size, not actual collar size.
