AIRCARE1043 Replacement Space Saver Wick (2)

A reviewer suggested 1043 Super Wick by AIRCARE replacement filter for the AIRCARE Digital Pedestal Evaporative Humidifier models EP9500 or EP9R500, and I'm so glad he did as it can be challenging to wade through all the knock off Filters looking for the real thing. This filter is often hidden when doing an online search, so I'd either check my order history or type in the exact name I have saved in Notes on my phone. Even though this is the correct, branded filter for my humidifier and is a high quality paper that lasts longer than off brands, it's also less expensive. I faithfully add Bestair Golden Combination Humidifier Water Treatment and Bacteriostatic to the water as directed and never have any issues with mineral deposits, mold or odors. (As of 12-22 Wal stores has lowest price on Bestair Golden treatment.) Our home is 2000 sq ft and one filter lasts an entire season, about 4 months. I chose Subscribe and Save, so I no longer have to hunt for the correct filter and AIRCARE also offers single purchase 3 packs at Amazon.

I really like my humidifier and I use it daily. The 2 pack of filters provides the best value, but they are a lot of money and as of today I’ve paid more for filters than I paid for the humidifier. I wish someone offered a 4 pack of filters at a more reasonable price.

These do what they are meant to do and hold form without visible molding to get 2 filter cycles out of each one filter.

This is the correct replacement.

These last longer than the generic wicks, so I will buy these over the cheaper ones.

At the time, Amazon had the best price but this year I found them for under $20 at Home Depot ($30 at Lowes, $54 on Amazon) so shop around. These are the factory brand filter - they work great and one lasted two years (forgot to change it at end of season like I usually do). And CN stands for CANADA - they are the exact filter as 1043 according to Essick, only sold in Canada with the required bilingual box.

these filters are same as original that came with our humidifier. the store did not carry the replacement filters so i was glad to see them on amazon and could order 3 at a time for a few dollars less(although they are still a bit expensive especially if you have to replace them monthly).i just bought the unit and am still on first filter but so far so good.delivery was quick and easy from amazon.

In a world where many consumer products offer a cheaper knock off version of the original im not sure what the heck arrived but it appears to not be Aircare brand of filters.The box on the right is what a branded filter looks like. The box on the left is what arrived at my door.Considering this is a product my family breaths in the winter… I’m not taking the chance.

I have purchased these before from another seller and they were a little cheaper. However, they were not available and so ordered them on Amazon. They came on time and were as good I have bought before.

It fits perfectly but the colour started changing to brown within 2 days whereas that did not happen with my last filter for weeks. It also has a wet tissue feel to it which leads me to believe it will not last as long.
