Lights are awesome, makes us feel secure and cars start moving ...
I did some research on this product b4 purchasing. My main purpose for it is running. A runner review stated that as long the light don't trip with anything it will hold in dry-fit cloth. On cold weather gear it might have problems.I Purchase 2 sets and used them one in the shoulder and one in the side of the shirt. The one in my shoulder since the magnet was pressed with my skin, barely moved, just an inch down due to the running motion. The one on the side of the shirt started on the mid section and made its way to the lower part of the shirt and fall twice. The first time I was lucky to find the magnet. The second time not that much, but I found the light and was intact. The other set is used by my GF running partner and I placed them one on each shoulder and she did not have any problems (little movement downward) during our 5K training.Lights are awesome, bright and strong and makes us feel secure. Cars start moving apart from far (we run against the traffic), as they see us with much anticipation. You can see the drivers, mostly man talking about the lights to their copilots, and woman drivers just staring at them. Love the blue and white.I only wish the light case had another magnet, because between them they clamp awesomely secure.I just thought about gluing a magnet to the light with crazyglue or superbonder and using other under the shirt. That for sure will lock them in place and I will enjoy my run without worrying on losing one again. but I'm short on magnets.I'll try to purchase a kit of magnets to make my little experiment and update this review.**Update May 6th/2015**I did glue one of the magnets to the base of a light with Crazy Glue. It works like a charm but made the light heavy but wearable. Last night one of the lights just lose the White led. Only the red one is working. The other 3 are OK. Still the red light strobe serves the purpose.Overall is a great light. I'll buy 2 more sets just to have spare magnets and lights. Also I bought a Nathan HyperBrite Strobe. I will try that one a place a VS comparison.

Bright - 1.5 Thumbs Up
Bright flashing lights. I run almost every morning in the dark and had been looking for a good way to become more visible. These lights are bright but multi-colored - I would prefer an option for just white or just red. The magnets are strong enough to hold through a Dri-Fit shirt. The magnet does not align perfectly to the light so I was a little hesitant to use at the bottom of a medium weight Dri-Fit shirt but there hasn't been a problem with them dropping off. I would buy again when the need comes, and I will definitely buy more if only white/red become available. My order was fulfilled by Amazon and they sent me an opened/repacked item. I brought this to the attention of Customer Service at Athlights and they were VERY responsive and willing to replace. This is a small-cost item and I certainly feel comfortable giving Athlights my business.Would get 1 more star if there were options for only white or only red.

Bright, but unreliable.
Nice idea, but the execution needs some attention. The light they produce is very bright with an attention getting pattern. The trick is getting them to produce any light at all.Since there is no actual power switch on them you turn them on and off by screwing the case together more tightly or backing it off. This squeezes the battery stack (2 cells) against a thin foam washer under the circuit board. When the washer is compressed far enough the top cell touches the board and completes the connection. The problem is that the cells don't make good contact with the board before the case is completely screwed shut. There's not enough pressure to hold them against the board for a reliable contact.I should point out that this is the second pair of these I bought. The first set came from a local running store. In that set one of the lights didn't work straight out of the package. When I opened it up I discovered one corroded cell and a small flat washer stuffed in the battery stack to make it thicker.Taking a queue from this I added a thin flat washer to each of the remaining units. And, sure enough, it worked. Now they are all able to turned on and they don't quit when bounced around. Also, the plating on the magnets is chipping off, as other commenters have noted. It's not a huge deal, but it doesn't speak of quality, either. If you don't mind doing a little field engineering to make the battery stack a bit thicker these things can be made to work well and will definitely make you stand-out in the dark.

Much safer running at night.
I'm glad to have something to make me more visible when I'm running or walking at night - too many close calls! The lights alternate between red and blue, and are incredibly bright, but I wish they were different colors because the light bounces off the walls as I walk and makes it look like there's police activity. One of the lights only lasted about 5 minutes before the battery died. We'll see how long the other lasts. I know the batteries are replaceable, but when I'm promised 40 hours of battery life I expect more than 5 minutes. The magnets are really strong, but they stick better to each other than to the lights. Hopefully they'll stay on during a run.UPDATEThe company came through and sent me another set. This time both lights work! They stay on my shorts well (tight-fitting) and creep down a little during my run but have never fallen off. If I put them on my shirt, which is very loose-fitting, they creep way down and I'm concerned they'll fall off, so I just use them on my shorts. I see a big difference in how cars approach me when I wear these, and I feel a lot safer.
