Great product, sturdy, very versatile for baking & crafts usage.

My cake lifter arrived bent in one of the corners. I purchased this as a gift but had to return it.I read similar reviews about the product arriving bent but I decided to give it a try anyway.I'd rather buy one in a store to make sure its in good condition.

I got this to help me with pie crust lifting. Perfect!

I bought it for cakes, but have found a zillion other uses for it in my kitchen. It has a place of honor in the easiest to access cabinet. Comes out of dishwasher in perfect shape and found it to be actually sturdier than expected. Great addition to my tiny, tiny kitchen where, trust me, I add only the most useful implements to enhance our cooking and baking.

This makes it so easy to transfer cakes from a grate to a plate. I didn't have a cake board or parchment under my last bundt cake and put it on a grate to pour ganache over it. I had to use 2 regular spatulas and lost alot of the cake trying to move it to the plate. This big cake spatula gets under most of the cake making transferring a cinch!

I saw a similar one on one of the cooking shows and the host bragged how useful this is. Well, she was so right. So many times when I prep items to cook I take it to the pot in portions. Now I use this "cake' lifter, which I never use for cakes. I take my prepped ingredients in one trip to the pot, pan etc. I give it a quick rinse and back to my work station it goes...so great. Who knew?

Love this item as a cake lifter. It greatly reduces cracking of a cake layer as when you lift it by hand. The only negative I have is the lack of original shine to the metal after it is washed.

Use it for bread making as a bench scraper. Edge is a little sharp. Quick fix is very fine silicon carbide wet/dry sheet, 2000 count or higher, to polish edge. Take care to do just the edge or you will mar the mirror stainless steel finish.
