Monument MON1376 Drain Test Plug 50mm (2in)

I have a long run from a Kitchen Sink to the outside and need to block the outlet to test for leaks and also to fill with hot on a regular basis to clear the pipes.

The thread to is moulded and too small.First off, I could not get a seal when attached this to a manometer. I took off the nipple cap and the top of the thread had mould flash. A bit of filing there and I thought I was fine. However, it then jumped the threads when I tightened down the nipple cap, by hand. I ended up applying about 10 layers of PTFE tape to build up the threads sufficiently to allow me to tighten on a nipple cap and get a good seal.For test equipment, the thread should be better. Every cheap washing machine valve inlet valve has a half decent plastic thread.

Seems reasonable but tight plastic thread which may seize or break if get grit into this.

Not the best........................at all.The thread is moulded, just look closely at the picture, look at the seam down the thread, do you think it lines up?When you put a half inch connexion to it from your test gear, it feels loose and like you're half a turn from stripping it.Seems like it won't last, you know, one of........ them.Pound shop at best.Mentally expensive for what it is.Seems like it'll snap under normal use while tightening it to expand.I'd expect better from monument.Stick with the metal type.You live and learn.

Exactly what I needed. Fitted perfectly and done the job it's supposed to do. Still holding firm
