The CAL (Cant And Loc) Atlas Bipods were developed for shooters that do not desire the Panning feature. The BT65-LW17 mounts directly to any 1913 style Picatinny rail via the included ADM-170-S Lever. It is comprised of 6061-T6 aluminum that is Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodized and have heat treated stainless steel components. We chose to support a legend in the shooting sports by using the original KMW “Pod-Loc.” With the CAL bipod mounted to your rifle, you will be able to lock and un-lock the canting motion by rotating the Pod-Loc lever. Turn clockwise to lock and counter clockwise to un-lock. The Pod-Loc lever position can be adjusted for positioning by pulling the lever directly away from the body of the CAL and rotating to desired position. This positioning can be repeated until optimal position is achieved. Available in black only. Height Range: 4.75 – 9.0" approximately Cant: 15 degrees +/- 5 leg positions: 0, 45, 90, 135 and 180 degrees Non-Rotating Legs: outer leg does not rotate around inner leg Larger, stronger inner legs Weight: 14.57 ounces Footprint: 9.75 – 13"

Best bipod hands down
It’s a little on the heavy side but weight isn’t really too important on a precision rig. Adm 170 is amazing very tight lock up and atlas has no competition imo, the bipod is sturdy and the adjustments are tactile. Only downside is the price buy once cry once though

Better than the BT10 & BT46 if you are precision shooting
I made the mistake and got the BT10, then the BT10-LW17, then the BT46-LW17 because so many people had recommended them. Yes, they are great tripods, BUT they have a pan feature that was causing too much play in the bipod that was ruining my accuracy. After a great conversation with the friendly folks at Atlas I realized that THIS is the tripod I really should have got in the first place if I wanted to do precision shooting. It does NOT have the pan feature and it has a MUCH easier to lock lever for cant adjustments, so it's really fantastic and stable. The target shown with 5 shots was my first shots at 100 yards after a 50 yards zero and I'm a newbie (only 163 centerfire rounds every shot - including these), but this tripod and a Caldwell medium rear bag and I was on the money using American Eagle 120gr with a lousy SD of 26.1 (ES 82)! The target shown with a tight group was 10 shots from a 1983 Ruger 10/22 with the only mods being an Archangel Precision stock, a BX trigger and Eley Tenex. This tripod is EXTREMELY well built, the picatinny mount works very well but be sure you get it flush level in there before clamping down and don't force the lever down. This tripod looks obnoxiously wide in pics, but when you fold it up it isn't much wider than the BT10 & BT46.I use this on my Ruger American Predator, Ruger 10/22 with a Archangel Precision stock and DDM4 V7 LW and it works great on all three BUT I have to slightly adjust the clamp screw when moving between them.My only gripe is that it still seems too easy to get user induced cant when its fully locked, but the owner tells me that's by design so you can easy adjust to override for minor corrections or unlevel terrain. That said, this locks better than the others so if you have a bubble level on your scope you can quickly adjust and it works great.I should note those shots I took were WITHOUT the bipod loaded.

Exceeded my expectations.

Outstanding
Built like a tank, a big improvement with stability vs the model I had before with rotating legs and panning.

Best Atlas bipod I’ve owned.
This is my third Atlas bipod and my favorite. Easy adjustments, lightweight and versatile. I’m actually considering selling my other two Atlas bipods to buy more of this one.

Returned. Not as advertised, pictured, or described.
Item received was not as advertised nor pictured. It is not a genuine Atlas product. Item received appears to be a fake BT10-LW17. I own a genuine Atlas bipod, and the item received does not compair. Item received does not have a cant lock lever function. The outer legs rotate around the inner legs. The head pans and cants like a BT10-LW17. Packaging has ATLAS BIPOD CAL STANDARD HEIGHT BT65-LW17 printed on it. Item will be returned for refund immediately.

Worth the $
I spent months and months debating the purchase of an atlas. Well, now I own multiple. When you get out past 500, I absolutely recommend it! Excellent purchase.
