I was never a darth Vader fan, but this meisho rendition is really great. The sculpt is superb with lots of great detail. Not the best articulation but decent enough for many poses. You can’t tell from the images but he’s got a lot of purple accents on his armor. The light saber is done very nicely.

Really like the Samurai take on classic Star Wars characters. Hopefully they will release another line that will include more recent characters and maybe some characters from the Rebellion.

Samurai Darth Vader, the name speaks for itself... I absolutely love this line of figures, the detail is amazing the articulation allows for purposeful display with plenty of weapons and accessories to compliment your pose.... I would recommend these to any collector of action figures Star Wars or not!!!!

it is just as detailed as the others in the series. my only complaint is that he’s a bit short. you would think they’d splurge for vader. the Darth Maul figurine is larger in appearance. Vader was 8ft tall.

For being one of the first interpretations of Vader in this line, the detail and craftsmanship is simply amazing. Even the latches that connect his armor together are hand painted. Costly, but worth every cent.

This is one of the coolest Star Wars collectibles out there. I originally saw it when I was in Japan and was angry at myself for not buying it when I had the chance. Hooray for Amazon! The details on this figure are excellent preserving the classic design of the original Darth Vader costume with a unique twist of applying a feudal Japanese samurai theme. The figure I received (sold by Green Tomatoes Japan through the Amazon Marketplace) is the original Japanese version and not the made-in-China version commonly sold on ebay. This is an absolute must for any serious collector of Star Wars themed memorabilia or anyone else who just appreciates really cool stuff!

So, Darth Vader was heavily inspired by feudal Japan, but seeing him as a Samurai in the flesh (plastic, great quality plastic) in all his ridiculously high detailed glory is something else. He can be posed however you can imagine him, well balanced, holds his poses, comes with a good deal of alternative hands / drawn and undrawn light sabre, I don't know why this wasn't developed earlier and then milked for all its glory... that said, I have just paid £77 (a lot more than back in the day) but already the price is creeping up... there are more 'Star Wars Movie Realizations (deliberate US spelling) from Bandai, with a staggered release, all on pre-order except for the Storm Trooper. Japan and the US has different release dates and the model I have is fresh from Japan (the boxed was shipped from the UK though). Worth the money, yes. Worth much more money, yes. Would I have paid more, yes. Am I glad I got it for £77 and not £159 as some sellers are trying to get, yes.
