Humminbird407030-1 ICE 45 Flasher

So far I just used it last weekend and it performed like it should easy enough to put together...fished for lake trout and salmon on a small lake in 75 feet of water. Ended up with a 10" lake trout which is tiny lol but was able to see it on the flasher Everythings easy to read and that's from someone thats never used a flasher before. YouTube videos help a lot...battery went from 100-90 percent in the course of 6 hours which is really good. Love the LED display which most of or all other flashers don't have. Reason why I give 4 stars is in the Q and A at the bottom it sais you do receive a carry case for the unit but at this price you get the plastic mounting system that fits into a 5 gal bucket. Not the soft sided carry bag. Which is an additional $40-$50 which I ended up ordering. More for just to protect the battery and connections/alligator clips from the snow/slush.

If you want to see pictures of fish (which may or may not actually be there), then this is not the fish finder for you. However, if you want to know whether or not fish are really under you, what size they are, and where they are in relation to your bate, then this is the fish finder for you. It is very easy to use and read once you understand the basics. I just set mine up on an overturned bucket, drop the transducer in the ice hole, drop my ice jig in the water and watch it drop to the bottom, and then watch the flasher to place my bait right in front of the fish. I definitely catch more fish with it than I would catch otherwise, and it adds interest to the entire ice fishing experience.

The ICE45 is easy to use and very accurate. I’ve used it twice and I’m not disappointed. What makes this unit affordable is the $45.00 rebate.

I have had this product for about a month now and am loving it. My brother-in-law owns a Vexilar FL18 and I have used it last year and thought it was good. However when comparing the two now I think the Humminbird exceeds the Vexilar in terms of options, price, noise reduction, and clarity. When fishing in a group of people, the Humminbird's sonar is disrupted by other sonars whereas the Vex or Marcum do. All sonar's are a personal preference, but I have found this product to be perfect for me!

I bought this after a friend bought a vexilar fl-20 and loved it. I priced around and read reviews on hummingbird and vexilar flashers and decided it go with the ICE 45. I was using it with the friend who has the fl-20 and he almost took mine home and left me with his. He couldn't get over the price I paid and how great it worked. I thought I got a good deal and he definetly agreed. Biggest advantage over the vexilar is the display screen is much larger.

Great flasher, got some vexilar buddies that were impressed, if you fish too close to someone with another hummingbird they will interfere with each other. Know what the guys you're fishing with use and if you fish farther than 10 ft you'll be fine. No interference with vexilar I dont know about marcum.

I have use this flasher for over 1 year, so far so good, but recently I found it interfere with other hummingbird flasher like ICE45,55， it's very strange as it never interfere with other brand flasher like garmin, marcom, it only interfere with it's siblings ICE 45,55, it's very annoying and we can't fishing with 20meters, I change noise settings but it's useless. the only way to fix the interference is change the beam to narrow beam but it's also reduce the detect scope.also I found it's ok to fish with hummibird helix 5 and 7, the only issue is with same ICE series flasher.
