Great flea preventive - and less harmful for dog than others
Vet recommended this product as a better choice than Bravecto, Advantage, Advantix, Frontline, etc., which have more risk than Activyl for toxicity to a dog's system. Delighted at how well Activyl works! But keep in mind it does not prevent against ticks--only fleas. We have had success with Ark Naturals herbal spray for keeping off ticks.

Best Flea Med EVER
Used every otc brand available and nothing comes close to how effective Activyl is for both dog and cat. I only found it available for my dog, but it's created a barrier and it's working on my cat too. Not sure why it was discontinued.

Fits the need perfectly!
Love the ease of use. But most importantly this flea product works! We have 5 cats and 2 dogs and now no fleas! We've been using smelly Comfortis for several years and due to the difficulty in getting the pets to take the stuff, gave this and Cerestin (for the cats) a try. Hooray! Easy to apply and VERY effective!

Great product
Great product! Or veterinarian recommended this product when Frontline & Advantage flea medication was no longer working on our dogs. We have several neighborhood cats that roam into our yard sharing their fleas. I give this item a 10!

Worked for awhile
It stopped working on my dog I believe fleas became resistant to it. But it did work well for awhile just be careful with it and wash your hands.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! Product Discontinued!
UPDATE! Activyl has worked great for us for the last 4 years, but not anymore! I bought a box in March and started to apply but my boy started squirming and acting like it was burning. This has never happened before, so I stopped immediately and got soap and water and washed off the spot I had applied. About a week later, he developed a bald spot - right where the topical was applied and his skin is flaky dry. When I did research and found the manufacturer had discontinued making it, I was really concerned. I should have been more suspicious when the price went from about $40 to $80 for only 3 tubes! But, with our economy, I chalked it up to another increase. The seller was very kind and even refunded my money, but I have to now wonder where the stock came from. Maybe it was expired, maybe it was not the real formula. Regardless, this is now one more flea medication we will not be using! Be careful with your babies! My Boston has super sensitive tummy and skin, so it has been a real challenge finding something that he doesnt either throw up 5 minutes after eating it, or throw up for about 25 days after it being applied to his neck. A friend with a highly allergic to everything dog told me about this, so I thought, "what the heck, might as well try" cause the natural ways just do not work on SC fleas!! The first month he did scratch a bit, but now that we have been using it for 4 months, he doesnt react at all. But it REALLY keeps the fleas away! If he does happen to get on, (which he is allergic to), it doesnt last very long before it is dead, dead, dead. Thanks Activyl!
