A Day in the Life of a Doctor (Community Helpers at Work) Paperback – September 1, 2000

I was especially impressed to see a book in which the doctor was a woman. So many of the traditional books show male doctors. This one was an excellent book to share at the day care since several of their moms are doctors. My only problem with the book is that it is quite small for sharing with a group of children.

This book was purchased for a little boy who is fascinated by doctors, the photos are Ok, not fabulous, but he likes it because it shows a variety of settings including an office, the hospital, etc. would recommend for kids who like real life info about doctors.

I gave it to a high school, so that he knows it is a very good field to be in.

Perfect book for 4 year old granddaughter. Simple language and realistic pictures. She loves it. Would highly recommend this book.

I like to have an AR book with every story in our reading series and this covers it! Thanks again.

Good book, easy read

My daughter's father is a physician and he and I felt like this was a good simple overview of the day in the life (at work) of a physician. The book goes beyond physicians helping people. It points out rounds, charting at the end of the day, meetings they have to attend and it also includes the role of nurses and pharmacists.
